"BitchFist" Really? That's her nickname?
The wild dragon does wild dragon things. No one should be surprised. The name is rather weak though. "SheepStealer"?

Those scenes were horrendous.
The casting decisions post season 1 have been pretty disastrous. For example, Alicent and her adult children are very close to the same age in real life. Like they didn't even make an effort to make her look older

There's a difference between "oh that's cool to look at" and "wow that's a really powerful episode where I cared about the characters and what's happening".
The naval battle scenes in this episode were great. I noticed they didn't show really any of Daemon's ground battle. Guess they ran out of money.

If you’re keeping count, that’s the third time in this show they’ve just showed the aftermath of a ground battle.

They did this alot in the early seasons on GOT as well. Must be a budget issue.

I think it’s hilarious they gave him an under bite.

I’m really disappointed in the show
The pace was sluggish as hell
I really went into it wanting to like it, but it just didn’t happen for me

It's very difficult for me to care about any of these characters. When Jace (had to look up his name just now) died in last night's episode I felt absolutely nothing. All he did during the second season was whine about being kept in the castle and argue with his mother on matters of grand strategy.

Very odd. Has to be a cost-saving measure

Did anyone else catch the two guys beheading the dead Lannister lion in that red fork scene?

Yep. I think right after they showed that they mentioned if they had to kill more.

It's not intended to be one of those netflix action movies. If constrained to 10 episode seasons they have to cut some fighting out from this world or that's all it would be.
I do agree though that if cutting these scenes out they need to do a better job on character development. In s1 they did a great job with Rhaenyra, Alicent, Daemon, Aemond, and Cole. Then a lot of it seemed to fall apart. Maybe some of it is due to actor changes after the time jump making it hard to keep that connection from the audience. But there's really no excuse for how they did Daemon.
Aside from just bitching about the show, any speculation on Larys' plan?
How about the witch at Harrenhall? Last season she tried to get Daemon to stay loyal to Rhaenyra. Now she's trying to get the 3 bastard dragon riders out of Harrenhall leaving Daemon to fight Vhagar alone?

You should watch The Last Kingdom where the main character is like 80 years old but is portrayed by a 35 year old actor.

You really should at least finish the episode. You turned it off right before a great battle/much better part of the episode.
I’d finish the episode then decide.

that is true. it was one of the better naval battles we've seen depicted on screen, and it wasn't shot in pitch dark like battle of the blackwater. they used the dragons effectively and showed the sea snake using his naval prowess well.

The original plan was just to get to safety. Once discovered, his plan is to put off being executed for as long as possible.
Don't mistake him for having any real affection for Aegon. Thats just the person with a claim to power that he thinks he has the best shot at controlling or at least gaining some sort of power from. If its him or Aegon, he will let them chop Aegon's head off in a heart beat and act like he delivered the king on purpose. Now I am sure he wil try to salvage the situation and get himself and Aegon out of this unscathed because without Aegon, his proximity to power is weakened tremendously.
