Understood.
There’s just never a bad time for one to state how cat ruined everything.
She’s the worst.

Aegon is by far the most entertaining character on the show. He is my favorite by far

This is exactly what my thought process is.

Yeah that pissed me off, she treated him like a deadbeat.

I enjoy the show, but I feel the same as many others. The story seems to be crawling at a snail's pace in certain aspects. My wife falls asleep every episode, and I do sometimes, too. Right before Cole was killed, she said, that's Sir Criston right? She has no idea who anyone is outside the main cast.

I’m torn on this one. On one hand, it seemed ridiculous of her; on the other, it’s totally something I could see a woman doing.

And he still sucks. The fact that he is the best character shows how this show has done a poor job of developing the characters.

Spoilers from the Mad King play are coming out. Apparently, it nukes a lot of people's pet theories, including one I thought was certain. It's not 100% though.

I don’t put much stock in it, honestly. I’m pretty sure GRRM mentioned it isn’t canon at some point (I think his response was something along the lines of “only the books are canon”).
I’ve seen some things from it that sounds kind of dumb.

Elia Martell and Ashara Dayne being secret lesbian lovers was not on my bingo card.
ETA: I did like the confirmation that Jon’s name isn’t Aegon, but I wasn’t able to find the name he was given in the play.

Tracks for the Dornish. But makes me sad for Selmy who was all about some Ashara Dayne.

I get the gist they don’t tell it.

I thought it made sense for him to be that in the show but figured it would be different in the book because you already had Griff as Aegon.

I’ll be honest, I stopped watching halfway through this episode. The show is boring and I don’t care about any of the characters. They have made the bad guys weak, uninteresting, and/or one dimensional, the good guys are just as bad. The acting is awful outside of a few actors, and the story is boring. They shouldn’t have stretched it out, could’ve been a great 2 season show.
I’m embarrassed to say I think I’m done with this show because I’ve invested so much time reading/watching GOT and related content. It’s just boring and I just don’t care about anyone at all.

More like House of the Dragging Along. Cregan Stark needs to make a pit stop at HBO studios along his way to KL. At least we have A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms S2 to look forward to next year.

You didn't like when the power of Gwayne's gayness saved the day for Ormund and Daeron?
They obviously made the early decision to make the whole story about Rhaenyra and Alicent, and it's been a huge drag.
quote:shite take. There is absolutely no way they could have crammed this whole story into 2 seasons. 40 episodes would have been cutting it close and you're seeing the bad effect of 34.

GRRM dorsnt even know what cannon is. He totally gave up on finishing his story. The tv show has been over for years and we are still missing the last three books.
I want to never hear his name again. But I also know the day Winds of Winter drops, I'll get it.

Interesting. I thought it was dragging at because they didn’t have the story for the amount of episodes they were trying to fill. I was thinking it should have maybe been 3 seasons of 10 episodes each, with the first two episodes of this season being the end of last season, but I haven’t read the book, so I could be way off base.
How would you have structured each season? I’m assuming season 1 largely the same.

I'd have had four 10 episode seasons, with the Gullet and aftermath being the finale of S2, the God's Eye in S3 and the Hour of the Wolf/Aegon 2 Death/Aegon 3 crowning after a big Rhaenyra death climax to finish it. Alicent and Rhaenyra would be way shittier than they are, and I'd replace their endless boring scenes with more skirmishes between Cole and the Wolves, as well as fleshing out Black Aly and other minor but integral characters.
