My wife and I watch everything together, so this is how I would rank them based on what we watch and the total experience
A Tier
HBO Max, Apple
B Tier
Netflix, Hulu, Disney+
C Tier
Prime, Peacock, Paramount

$8.99 with ads. WTF are the ads for? I get Spectrum through my condo HOA dues and that comes w/ a ton of +ads streaming like DIsney+, Peacock, Paramount+, HBO, etc. Netflix and Prime are not remotely worth it.

Really the only thing they have on there is Breaking Bad, Trailer Park Boys, and a few stand up shows I like but have already seen. They don't have anything else on there that interests me. It ain't worth having for $21 a month.

I’d look to see if there was any opt out for that garbage. Yikes.
There are some good shows on Netflix I watch. Docs, The Gentlemen, and some other stuff.

I have the basic plan that's like 10 bucks, but I'm thinking of canceling too. I rarely use Netflix anymore

Plans offered that I see are
8.99 - with ads, 1080p
19.99 - no ads, 1080p
26.99 - 4K & HDR
I have the 1080p with with ads because the crappy Optimum service in my area is not good enough to take advantage of 4K/HDR.
Just a few minutes ago was watching something and here comes the pixelating BS.

The wife and I watch together but not everything.
The last shows we watched together on Netflix is Reacher and Dept. Q. Reacher subsequent seasons after season 1 were fine but not great. We enjoyed Dept Q but apparently they just started production of season 2 and won't be released until 2027.
We enjoy Prime plenty enough with the PBS Masterpiece different series which are free to Prime at times especially Endeavor and Van der Valk.
Documentaries and stand up rank near the bottom of what we watch together.

Who pays for streaming services? Do the 1-2 month free trial, watch what you want, cut off, then move on to the next one. Rinse and repeat.
