I want to say I started at 1.99 for the DvDs by mail back in the day then maybe 3.99 or 5.99 to stream and DvD option. Then it went to 7.99 about 10yrs ago.

Now, I can't do it anymore. $21.84 w/ tax is a bridge too far for me. I barely log into it and when I do I rarely finish whatever I'm watching.

I'll keep Prime and the HBO/ Max app pretty much replaced Netflix for me which I get free with Direct TV.

I dropped it a few months ago, and I do not miss it.

I don’t mind paying the money, but there is nothing on Netflix I want to watch. Their shows suck now. Apple TV is what I have been on mostly.

Well, there's your problem.

Plans offered that I see are

8.99 - with ads, 1080p
19.99 - no ads, 1080p
26.99 - 4K & HDR

Sounds like you're getting a discount on the premium plan.

Sounds like you're getting ripped off. My netflix is $7.99 a month and I have too many shows on my list to keep up with.

$6.99 with commercials that aren't actually that bad to sit through

I never subscribed to it. Jokes on everyone here who already had a subscription.

Odd we have 6.99, 7.99 & 8.99 for the same no ad subscriptions.

What's up with that?

Nothing really seems to affect Netflix negatively in the long run, even with Netflix cracking down on password sharing. I don’t think it had that much effect on them.

It might be 8.99 - I don't really pay attention to it

Hell, Netflix may have jacked the prices up since this thread was started.

Y'all know you can just cancel things without announcing it, right?

I dropped it a couple of years ago and I think they've only had a few things I might have watched if I still had the membership.

I will pick it up at the end of the year for the 3 Body Problem season 2. I really liked parts of season 1 and parts I hated but I do want to see season 2. I'll probably wait for all episodes to be up and then find a 14 day trial to binge it.
