Deflecting and lying isn't much of an argument.
I guess you really are this stupid.

So, you have no argument or point either?
Totally on brand for the pronoun gestapo.

I've posted evidence.
You still haven't.
Fans Bring Up Pedro Pascal Nazi Tweets After Gina Carano Was Fired
And after you've posted ANY evidence, cite where I lied. About anything.

Disney is the Mob, where have you been?

Baw, all do respect, but you are arguing with a guy who supports putting a jar full of jizz on top of an Aggie bonfire. You are setting your expectations way too high.

Interesting one for TD. Woman gets fired for comments she made online and suing bc men were treated differently is usually a hard “tough shite” from TD…but comments were right leaning, so…

quote:At the height of cancelling political dissent when Big Tech and big media knew no one in power would question cancelling political opposition, look into any disregard of regulations on Disney owned assets or of merger agreements for govt approval in actions, or attempt to amend section 230 due to Big Tech’s role in the cancelling and censorship as Democrats were then in control of house,Senate, and Presidency. They were drunk with power and also hate.
She wasn't fired until 2021
Nothing she said made the Lucasfilm statement after her firing accurate.
quote:
the company said in a statement. “Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.”
Before talking about how the Nazis made citizens and neighbors hate jews like left was doing with political opposition which is what got her fired and basis for LucasFilm’s slander quoted above the below is what she did as described by Bezos’s Washington Post below which included not posting things as well.
quote:
In August, Carano blasted “cowards and bullies” for criticizing her lack of public support for Black Lives Matter and liked posts disparaging the movement. The next month, she was accused of ridiculing transgender pronouns by adding “boop/bop/beep” to her Twitter profile. She pushed back against critics who accused her of being transphobic, saying she did it to expose “the bullying mentality of the mob.”
“I decided to put 3 VERY controversial words in my bio.. beep/bop/boop,” she tweeted. “I’m not against trans lives at all. They need to find less abusive representation.”
She later walked back that sentiment, citing a conversation with actor Pedro Pascal of “The Mandalorian,” in which she said her co-star “helped me understand why people were putting them in their bios.”
In November, she began echoing Trump’s baseless claims of widespread voter fraud. In other posts, she mocked mask mandates to stop the spread of the coronavirus. She had previously called for churches and businesses to reopen and criticized pandemic restrictions.
“Democratic government leaders now [recommend] we all wear blindfolds along with masks so we can’t see what’s really going on,” said a meme she shared on Twitter.
…Carano, who later announced she had joined the conservative app Parler, went on to mock the coronavirus vaccine and the legitimacy of mail-in voting in December
Questioning elections with no evidence was not only tolerated for 4 years but celebrated as patriotic before Jan 2021 across old and new media. Falsely pushing collusion lies was celebrated.
Questioning the extremist and absolutism parts of blm, masks mandates, and forced closures was only considered wrong by stalinists for political purposes and power. All are being questioned by a large amount of citizens now.
She wasn’t fired after what the Post described above, but according to Hollywood Reporter Lucasfilm had looked for 2 months for something to fire her on before having to lie about what she said in her nazi/jews/leftist post to justify immediately firing her, which then later that day caused her agency to sever ties. The lie was repeated by leftist supporters of Disney and allowed to be repeated without any corrections by Disney or Lucas. She got blacklisted as well.
All this while actual worse things from leftist POV were said or posted by other Disney employees who didn’t get fired, get slandered by company, face same extreme harassment, or then get blacklisted by the industry.

where does “at will” stop and “discrimination” begin?

Lots of companies make you sign something regarding social media. She can claim that she didn't speak for her employer, but the fact that she was a known and visible employee can potentially be an issue; also if she had posted anything about working for disney (which I'm sure she had).
I dislike that stuff, but it's stood up in court before. It's one of the big reasons I don't use any social media, and my forum handles are generic and not tied to my name or occupation. Stuff I post is probably counter to the company's position on lots of things.
Where I do think she has a case, is the stuff Disney posted about her "abhorrent and prejudiced" opinions. She posted nothing illegal, or really nothing uniformly considered despicable. Much of what she said would be considered popular opinion among mainstream conservatives. I'm guessing Disney doesn't want that stuff dragged back through the public eye.

so now we are advocating for canceling people for social media posts or not?
Gina shouldn't have been fired and neither should Pascal

The claims Disney made, and their inactions toward what others had posted in social media were not in line with how they treated Gina.
If what she said was so abhorrent that Disney felt the need to part ways, then there are dozens of other Disney employees / executives who said far worse and yet suffered no similar response.
What Disney claim were legitimate reasons do not sync with how others were treated.
Disney is lying.

Can you read?
It was a reply to someone stating Disney may have had social media posts covered in employee contracts. Surely if something applicable exists Disney wouldn’t discriminate and only require that to be in their contracts with women.

What happens is that they COULD terminate anyone, at their discretion, for violating said agreement. They COULD terminate Pascal, for example, but chose not to. You can't just say "they didn't do it to somebody else", you have to address your own complaint- that they let YOU go.
Basically, if that's what comes up in court, Disney will present the signed agreement, and state that based on this, they had legal grounds to terminate. They didn't force her against her will to sign, she could have chosen a different employer. She knowingly entered into the agreement understanding the possible consequences.

Disney is going to lose because the standard by which they judged Gina were literally what others in the corporation were guilty of having done. They won’t be able to point to anything she said which matches their claims.
She did nothing wrong.
