Ehhhhh I’m generally on Ginas side here, but let’s not pretend that your role as an entertainer is distinct from what you choose to publicly say. When the asset you are selling is valued based on public perception, you are never “off the clock,” especially on posts made using your public identity.

This isn’t the same as software engineer making off color comments outside the 9-5.

I hope they countersue the panties off her.

They probably will try. They like filing meaningless countersuits with no standing.

it's so irritating the way that Big Media tacks "disproven", "fraudulent", or "false" onto "claims of election interference" every single time it is mentioned in an article.

They have to keep the message going, even if it is a false message.

Is there a federal law that this line has to be in every article?

Perfect timing, with the other supporting actor in this pic dying. It seems a job has coincidentally just opened up

Perfect timing,

The Mouse House’s 2024 annual meeting of shareholders will be held April 3, 2024, and all shareholders of record as of the close of business on Feb. 5 are entitled to vote at the meeting.

And also…

Disney earnings call - February 7.

They're hoping that if they say it enough it will magically become true.

Disney just caved to the mob.

This and I also think the main actor had a problem with her views. I don’t even think it was a problem on the set. He just used the outrage.

If she wants to be in a picture, she doesn't need a lawyer, she needs the Godfather... And hope the head of Disney owns a prized horse.

Disney Lucas Films publicly defamed her and essentially had her blacklisted. She (and others) have just cause.

This won't end well for Disney.

Pedro posted far worse than Gina, yet she got kicked to the curb.

So much for standing up for women.

Shaerr Jaffe is not Elon or X’s team of attorneys. It’s an independent firm who partnered with X specifically to represent people in these types of matters. They’re a relatively small practice.

I don’t know them so I won’t pretend to speak to their competence, but to suggest a firm wouldn’t take cases like this for the publicity is naive.

Well, I think Elon has multiple reasons for supporting this case.

I think he personally likes Gina -- wouldn't be the first time he's thought with the little head.

I KNOW he despises Iger.

He's been seen with Peltz and his family lately, so him having motivation to support Trion in their bid to get seats on the board and replace Iger with Rizulo can't be discounted.

Bringing a high profile suit against Disney right before the next shareholders meeting where they will be removing and electing board members could inspire shareholders to give their proxy vote to blue or green rather than white.

He's petty as frick.

I don't think Gina's case is meritless, but if she wasn't as well liked, and her value wasn't multifaceted in regards to Elon's plan, I agree that this case probably wouldn't have been brought. But she is well liked and her case serves a variety of purposes.
