I agree. A friend of mine text me last night after the preview saying he think Rhaegal comes back to life like Jon since Jon is his rider. Makes zero sense to me but he's convinced of it.

Keep it simple.
Dany just flies Drogon straight up REALLY REALLY high, flies over KL then nose dives straight down behind the defenses and roasts the walls.

It’s so funny there was a coffee cup in that scene. When that scene started I half expected Sansa to be playing on her cell phone. It was a weird shot.

Good:
Jon's speech at the beginning
Dany legitimizing Gendry.
The feast celebrating "victory" while everyone knows that it's not over.
Sansa/Hound interaction
Jaime leaving to kill Cersei.
Ending. While I understand Cersei could have attacked them at the end, she is wanting Dany to overreact so people think she's the Mad Queen.
Bad:
Rhaegal. This was a pointless "shock death". They should have either let him die last episode or in ep 5 to have more meaning to his death. Not simply shot out of the sky after arrows have been shown to not do shite to dragons.
Ghost. I understand that Jon felt like he was walking away from the North for good and I also understand that Ghost would be better off in the North, however they could have made this scene so much better. Easily too
Dany missing the iron fleet right by dragonstone.
Dany not going with Jon down the Kingsroad. Would have made so much more sense than getting on the ships.

Dany has gone bonafide full-retard the last two episodes.

That's open to interpretation, though. The prophecy just states another queen will cast her down and take all she holds dear. I still think it's a reference to Dany. Dany is already styled as a queen. If she prevails over Cersei that fulfills the prophecy but it doesn't guarantee Dany takes the Iron Throne.
Sansa seems unlikely to be queen. Too many other players have to be removed for that to happen and she seems content to keep the North independent--she's shown no ambition of ruling the seven kingdoms.

Sure has. She should have taken her time and regrouped....
She has the following supporting her:
North
Vale
Dorne
Stormlands
Iron Islands
Riverlands
The Reach
Cersei has:
Westerlands
Golden Company

Anyone thought it was weird how Tyrion had zero reaction when Brienne asked if he was married before Sansa

If not Sansa, that leaves Gendry then.

quote:which season was it that she nailed a bunch of people to crosses along a road to prove a point? Even though they were slave owners there have been numerous points through the show where she has proven that she is a bit unhinges and could potentially turned into a deranged madman (or queen in this situation)
literally just posted about that in another thread. Showdors are acting like this has been set up over a long period of time nope. it all started last episode. 100% of it i think the issue is Dany is just an awful, awful character and always has been. what else can you do with her? watching people like Jorah and Tyrion talk about how amazing she is makes me all like

I agree that she should have taken her time but,
The North, Riverlands, Stormlands, and the Reach have all been devastated by constant war and we've seen most of their great houses/armies destroyed or greatly reduced.
The Iron Islands are in a civil war.
I don't know what to make of Dorne. They should have their army in tact but I guess their story ended last season. I've said it before but I guess we can just fan explain it away as something like there is a power vacuum and there's no one to muster their resources together?

I’m confused. Do book readers want the most predictable plot or not?

Yeah but each one of those area's could still muster 2-5,000 troops.

I think EVERYONE likes plot twists when done well. Plot twists just for the sake of having them detract from a story. D and D are in a hopeless situation and I doubt they signed up to write the quintessential GoT fan fiction when they started this project.
