I think with Tormund/Sam going north that leaves John to return and become King of the true north uniting wildlings and winter fell.
The hints were a little heavy handed in this episode. He absolutely refuses the Iron Throne.

Yeah like the NK can return like the 3ER or something like that.
So he goes up there to rebuild the wall and make better defenses knowing what they know now about Dragon glass.
Maybe Sam starts a citadel up there and records the history for safe keeping and defense so history doesn’t repeat itself.

also I thought all the Dany and Mad Queen talk was retarded, but they are apparently going in that direction, which is a bit surprising to me and seems a bit rushed
I assume this is the ending that Fat Man gave them and it will (LOL) be fleshed out more in the books

Why don’t they use Bran to his potential???
He can sit in on every strategic meeting Cersei has. Why not sit and wait while your army rests and recuperates while Bran learns of all of her plans?? Euron never happens.

Bran just wants to fly around watching people frick. Dragons are underutilized as well.

Id argue there’s a little give and take between full potential and completely useless which Bran has been.

If they've written a character that can be used to full potential and ruin the plot, they've written a bad character.
