No, but you’re pretty close

The social media/online praise for this episode is at an 11 right now. It will go down as a landmark feat in the history of television. You are in a very small minority.

just like to say... props to everyone who realized the name "Winterfell" is foreshadowing of it being "the place where winter falls"

so... how does the opening credits animation change since it no longer needs to follow the path of the army of the dead

I understand everybody's frustration but it seems like a lot of people are acting like this was the final episode. There's more time.

It's the one battle everyone has been looking forward to the most and all we see is wight fights and a little bit of the NK. No WW battles much less deaths. It was missing a lot.

No clue why people could possibly hold this opinion. 8 seasons of WINTER IS COMING. we must defend the realms of men. Our silly 7 kingdoms, titles, names, blah, wont matter if we dont fight the NK. Jon Snow, Sam, others even since episode 1 were beheaded trying to warn people the NK was the true enemy. The whole point of this entire story is that the living are the truly dangerous and will continue to be.

uhhh the whole "winter is coming" is/was very clearly a metaphor for how we are our own worst enemies and how we create our own problems and are too stupid and proud to realize it and instead squabble among ourselves instead of working together for the common good

the whole point of the show is we are our own worst enemy, and the only way to win the game is to not play. its not even very subtle. jon literally spent the entire last season repeating it over and over and over

but Arya killing the Night King is just awful.

But you also went on for MONTHS about her killing Littlefinger, which ended up being one of the most well received death scenes in the entire series.

It seems you just don’t like her doing much of anything.

It’s denial. I’ll admit most of the episode was good, but I think this will quickly catch on. It took me 12 hours to realize TLJ was a piece of shite, and I was in denial from some who immediately realized how awful it was.

I’ll give this episode a 6 out of 10, but Arya killing the Night King brings it down 3 solid points. That was awful, and the fanboys/girls will realize it.

My biggest complaint of the episode. Jon did practically nothing.

Just checking in before I go to bed and say that I loved the episode.

Although after Mormont killing a giant and Arya killing the NK, I know the SJW complaints are going to be on par with the Star Wars hate.

So they realize beating Cersei is pointless, right?

Were yall expecting Jon to just best this supernatural being in a sword fight? They made it obvious in the last episode that the plan was to more or less assassinate him. That’s why Bran was in the godswood. That was the entire point.

Now people are shocked and pissed that the only trained assassin in the area, that has proven to be fricking ruthless and silent (and worships the god of death) is the one that killed him?

Nobody in winterfell was more equipped to kill him than Arya. It was going to take stealth and superior training. Nobody was going to just beat this dude in a frickin sword fight

Yeah, but, uh, deus ex machina bro.

Dany screwed everyone, especially Jon, over when she bailed because she couldn’t stand to see her army die.

The plan was for her to stay with Jon and use the dragons to hold off the dead and light the fires.

But she ran. So Jon went after her and was completely out of position most of the fight.

Cersei has killed more humans than the Night King.

It seems like it’s more of a OML hates her character issue, considering you turn into a puddle of goo for a solid three months on this board every time she does anything of significance in the show.

This is the part that bothers me the most. Thought it was heavily foreshadowed at Hardhome they would have a showdown somewhere down the line

Night King linked out of going one on one. I do love Arya dealing the death blow.
