what did she learn?
She learned to become a more methodical killer that uses strategy instead of rage. I have a feeling she is about to do some serious killing when she gets back.
I do see your point about it being a waste of time though. They should have had her accomplish something other than just training while she was there.

I would have been ok with an 80's montage of her learning all the ninja and face swapping skills..
Like , instead of wax on/wax off , face on/ face off..
Aryason must poison the bottle! Remove eye! Always remove eye!

she was supposed to "learn" to be a faceless man...she didnt do that (not that it would have helped the story anyway)
she's no different now in my estimation than she was when she left. she spent some time seeing that killing for money isnt much fun, i guess

GOT Episode 7 BOOK READERS (HBO live but a few minutes behind because I paused it to pee and get another beer)
I should rename the Middle Ground Thread to this.

Nope she still wants to kill the same people.

It was never about fun. She was always going to learn to be a faceless man and leave.

Here's a crackpot theory about what the faceless man's motives really are. I'm not saying I believe this is what is happening, but it is something I thought of when they first showed the play of Ned's death.
What if the crackpot theory of Jaqen being Syrio is true, and he is actually fulfilling his perceived obligation to train Arya. I'm positive that it wasn't a coincidence that he sent Arya on her assignment with that play happening. And if his purpose was to test to see if she would really kill the lady, wouldn't the play just piss Arya off more, and make her more likely to go through with it? If he was truly testing her to see if she would truly be no one and kill the lady, he wouldn't have put that in the equation to make it easier for her. So what if he was actually testing her to make sure she wouldn't kill the lady, even with the added motivation the play gives? What if he's making sure she is still Arya, and isn't becoming a heartless killer? What if his purpose is to teach her to be a badass, yet make sure she doesn't actually lose herself?
Again, I know this is very big crackpot theory. And Jaqen probably isn't Syrio, and is truly trying to make her no one. But why send her on her first mission to a target that is playing Cersei in that play? He's got to be just testing her, but that play should just make it easier for Arya to kill the lady.

if your theory is not correct (or something similar), then the entire stay on braavos for arya was pointless. if jaqen is not a "major" player in the game, and/or have some influence over past & future events, then all they did was stash arya overseas with no advancement of hers story or the main plot at hand
arya was bent on revenge killing, she goes to braavos to learn about killing for money, then goes back to westeros to get revenge...??

I like how the actress asked her how many times she had seen the play. She answered 3 times. We only saw her go twice. So was she counting the real event as the first time she saw the play? Doesn't mean much, but it did stand out to me.

Ok, I've seen many people worrying that Bran or the 3ER made Aerys mad, and that is just stupid.
Insanity runs in the Targ line due to all the incest. It is known.
I hope everyone can drop this now.

Dany going mad at the end would be a delightful twist IMO.

But what if Bran made the Duskendale kidnapping happen, THEN he made Aerys go mad.......
This isn't even a theory I support, I just feel like I owe all crackpots some advocacy.

What if Bran convinced the first men to come over to westeros??!?

Arya is GoT's Bruce Wayne. Watching her dad get killed, leaving her homeland, and getting trained by a league of assassins. Jaquen is like Ras al ghul or something. Yep. Then coming back home to tear shite up.
