I'm shocked that Randyl being the hard arse that he is would still support the Tyrell's with Mace as the face.
Randyl is all about honor and following the rules. See his speech to Brianne even after he sees her being an awesome knight. He's not gonna go rogue and break allegiance with his Lord.

Dude. He's way too old.
And no, he's not using red woman magic to look older. Meera might be Jon's sister, but I doubt that too since she's not a bastard and it would be difficult for a lord's wife to claim she's the mother when no one saw her pregnant.

Could go a couple of ways depending on Margaery's intentions. If this is her power play (and by extension a Tyrell power play) then they probably stick around. If Margaery is a sincere convert (or just doesn't trust her family anymore) then I would guess Mace gets shipped off to deal with Dorne.
I can't tell with Margaery. In the scene with Tommen, I thought that she was about to tell Tommen that they should be wary of the High Sparrow, but then she saw that Tommen has actually fallen for his shite. At that point, it looks like she chooses to hide her true plans from him and perpetuate her charade around him also. Her facial expressions were very hard to read. I couldn't tell if the actress was doing a great job or crappy job haha

The Howland Reed = High Septon theory has been the shittiesr semi-mainstream theory since it was first created. The only textual support is a very superficial likeness between the two characters
Meera is Jon's brother was interesting for a bit, but overall it doesn't add much of anything narrative-wise and actually takes away from the Jon's special-ness as a Targ.

Maybe, but the only thing giving me hope at this point is that it's kinda hard to explain what the hell he's been doing since the Red Wedding?
Robb sends him a message, then gets killed, then the High Sparrow shows up in the Riverlands. The timing seems to match up and the tactics that you would expect from a filthy frog eater.
But I guess you're right, it's probably time to give up on this one......

Why Benjen joined the Night's Watch in the first place is something I've never totally understood
He was the third son. He had no chance at any of the lands and titles which would go to Brandon, then Ned.
Actually, a lot of the noblemen in the watch joined this way. Weymar Royce, and some of the other guys from northern houses are all members because they were not going to inherit anything.

In the books, Reed actually shows up at Winterfell when we first meet Meera and Jojen. This wouldn't have been possible if he were off somewhere gaining influence as a septon.
And to the other poster, I don't know. The "Bolton is a skin changing WW" and "Daario = Euron" theories were pretty absurd.

If LF can instant travel so can the Septon.

LucasP is right. I'm pretty sure you are not accurate with that.

frick yeah!!! And if LucasP is right about this, then by the transitive property, he must be right about HS=HR!!
HELL TO THE YEAH, it's still on!! And we all have TF99 to thank for this definitive proof.

All we need to back the theory of HR=HS, is another rally possum!

I would love for Sam's dad to get stabbed by a White Walker, and as he lies there dying, he sees Sam then kill that same White Walker with the sword he stole.
And before Randyll Tarly dies he passes on his legacy to Sam. Sam and Gilly live happily ever after in Horn Hill.

I'm all in on HR=HS as well, for what it's worth. Most of my conviction comes from you actually.

Or even better, a rally opossum!!! That would seal the deal for sure.
ETA or possibly a rally wombat, or wallaby. Any type of rally marsupial would probably do really.

We are talking about the same guy who was about to go hunt down his own son for sport Bolton style, right? I don't think Randyl gives two shits about honor. I think he cares about being a man, and when Brienne did it better than most of his men, he had to give her props.
Sam isn't necessarily dishonorable, just a wimp in his father's eyes and would lead to the downfall of his house. He's probably actually correct on that, but he should have allowed Sam to become a Maester instead of joining the Night's Watch. But then again, reading is for wimpy nerds in his mind. I don't think he'd put up with Wylas Tyrell all that much either and go for the second more warrior like son.

I was under the impression that this was a hollow threat that parents make. But even if he did, then there wouldn't be anything honorless or against the rules about it. In his mind Sam is his property to do with as he wishes, he wants him strong or gone and it's his right to make him one or the other.

Kinda, but in the same breath he tells her to get pregnant in a kitchen. He's not keen on her doing boy stuff, because it's against tradition.

Well that part is just truth.

I agree.
Randyl Tarly is all about the appearance of power and strength, and the legacy of his House.
Kinda like a certain Westerland Lord currently pushing up daiseys.

I don't have the timeline on this exact, but I didn't think Benjen joined before Brandon was burned. That only left two Stark males alive.
Also the Starks have a lot more power and influence to keep a third son around than the Royces, where the third son truly has nothing to inherit.

Benjen didn't join until after the rebellion and Ned came back home.
He stayed in Winterfell during the war, keeping a stark there as there always must be
