A thousand times, yes. Both the show and books have established the mental illness in the Targaryen lineage, likely due to inbreeding, and it would really really cheapen that part of the story if it was Bran warging back into the past to cause that.
Definitely. It pretty much removes any wrong doing on Aerys' part, which in turn destroys the character. Aerys was a bad man, and he fully deserved what Jaime did to him in the end.

If you have say 200 dragon glass arrows, the issue is putting those arrows in the hands of the archers who would actually have a chance to shoot a WW. Same goes for spears/knives/swords. The more weapons you have, the better the chance that you get one in position to strike a WW.

Yeah, but there are only like four of them left. I have a feeling that the Valyrian steel swords will be more focused on when the final battle ensues. I mean, yeah there will be people armed with dragon glass arrows & spears, but those won't be very useful against the wights. I think that the majority of the White Walkers will be killed with the Valyrian steel swords. I think at least Longclaw, Oathkeepoer, Widow's Wail, and Heartsbane will all be in play at the end.
Although it'll be interesting to see if the Night's King is also vulnerable to Valyrian steel, or if he has to be killed by dragon glass since he is the one White Walker that was actually created with dragon glass.

He's not gonna be time traveling changing the outcomes of events IMO.
The Hodor Warg into Warg was an anomaly.

That was just done to show the power of Bran isn't even been peaked yet.

Do we know that there are only 4 left? I assumed they were making more from all the Craster babies for a long arse time. I didn't think there was a "set" number of these things.
Do we know the Night's King was the only one made through that ritual?

I don't see why people think there are only 4 of them. We first off saw at least 13 of them in Season 4. Secondly, surely the Night's King would have created a few hundred of them over the millennia simply for safety in numbers.

How important can a guy be that wasn't even in a whole season? Now all of a sudden he can control everything?
I don't like where this is headed.
I'm not gonna lie, I'm afraid you may be right (and this is my favorite show of all time).

I would assume any limited number you see on TV is for convienence or budget until someone expressly states that there is a set number.

So how do you guys think Jons parentage will be revealed to him? Not like "Bran," but specifically, how do you think it will go down? Interested what you guys think. Do you think Jon finds out prior or subsequent to winterfell battle? Would be cool if he knew before and it gave him something more tangible to fight for and he visits Lyannas crypt knowing it is his mother for the first time.

In the books? Probably Howland Reed.
In the series? Perhaps Meera Reed brings the story with her to the wall - and "circumstances" will just support it? It will be "an" explanation that he will accept in light of all that has happened.
In any event, getting others to believe it will be secondary if he actually displays the powers of TPTWP.

I just can't see it happening. Would be one of the biggest let downs of all time if they start introducing time travel as a regular occurrence on Game of Thrones.
Too messy. No way.

If Bran makes to The Wall with some assistance and Jon is still there, hopefully we get another Stark reunion (it's been 6 seasons, it's not too damn much to ask

What is the consensus with everyone on the Umbers (and maybe Karstarks)?
Trap or no trap?

I would rather have 200 strategically placed fire bombs like those used by the Children of the Forest. Leaf blew up a large group of Wights with a single fire grenade.

I think in the show it is definitely not a trap but I wouldn't rule out a similar plot in the books that doesn't shite on the well established stark loyalty by the Umbers (the GNC)

Yeah, I realize there should be more than just 4, but we still haven't seen an army of them yet. All we ever see with the Night's King is a handful. And even if there are a hundred or more of them, I'm starting to wonder if we ever will see that many of them, on the show at least (because of budget issues).
But if there are hundreds of them, where are they all at while the Night's King's army is on the move? We know that they aren't with him at this point at least. It would be kind of interesting if there are multiple White Walker army divisions marching around the Land of Always Winter collecting wights. But if there are, and based on the army the Night's King already has, then Westeros really doesn't stand a chance since there could be millions of wights

Yeah I'm not convinced that the time travel will be as big as some think, I think we will still see tons of flashbacks of course, but I think they established that Bran royally fricked Hodor (although it was his destiny) and I think he will be gun shy to altering anymore events.
