The wargin thing is what I must disappointed with in the show. The books make out to be so much more bad arse.

This really isn't a big deal but wasn't the warg wildling still alive in the book for the intro of dance?

They combined Orell and Varamyr SixSkins

In the book, Orell was killed by Jon right when Jon met the Wildlings, then his eagle attacked him like he did last night.

Varamyr is the one who has a shadowcat, eagles, etc and he "takes" said eagle. Melisandre burns the eagle causing him to lose it a bit. The opening of ADWD is the chapter about him warging into One-Eye the old Alpha wolf, who also in the same chapter runs into Summer, who makes One-Eye his bitch, giving him an entire pack.

anyone else catch the Osha line about drinking blood and Rickon's crazy streak? i'm guessing it's a foreshadowing of his future cannibal tendencies or maybe Jojen/wight paste

Didn't Walder straight up tell everybody that he was offering bread and salt?

Yeah I caught that too. I figured it was a nod at where they are heading at this point.

I think that was a nod to the book readers. Jon remembers Old Nan telling him that wildlings drink blood from skull cups when he first gets to Craster's in aCoK.

ETA - There's been a lot of that this season. A lot of history or random musings that were told in the earlier books that were never mentioned in the show.

Oh, he's got the swag! Dude would be perfect. Agree more Mediterranean than middle eastern.

No clue who they'll cast for Arianne or the Sand Snakes

I have my choices for two of them:

Arianne - Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan from Entourage). Looks almost exactly the way that I pictured Arianne and doesn't have to be a badass. Has HBO ties.

Nymeria Sand - Janina Gavankar. Again, perfect fit in both appearance and attitude and already has HBO ties.

No idea on Obara or Tyene. I can think of a few, but I think Tyene's role is too small for anyone that we already know. Tyene is blonde with blue eyes, Obara looks mediterranean like the others.

i also liked the ridiculously obvious line by Gilly about wildlings that see the wall don't live to tell about it "yet here we are". just a red herring for the non-readers?

In the book, the eagle attack happened before Jon went over the wall. Mance asked him about it. Also, that was Sixskins' eagle, and in the book, Sixskins didn't go over the wall with Jarl and Jon.

Orell was killed by Jon and warged into the eagle. It was Orell's eagle when it attacked Jon. Sixskins warged the eagle from Orell and used the Eagle to scout the wall. Melisandre killed the Eagle with magic. Sixskins dies trying to warg into a wildling woman.

I think so my gf, immediately said "I wonder if that's foreshadowing."

I'd have it be the end of the next season. Have Stoneheart mentioned from time to time, and then at the end of the season, bam!

I think the 2 best scenes of acting this season were the Jaime Brienne bath scene and Catelyn at the Red Wedding.

Was that different actor playing Rickon?

Either way, I thought it was very very shaky acting. Even for a child actor. I hate to even say that about someone so young but it really seemed to stick out compare to how good the other kids do (granted they are older).

He hasn't been that good, he's only been acting his shaft off.

Probably a reason the Rickon lines counter was still in single digits until this episode's explosion of Creepy Stark.

Also

What will be the epic season ending moment?

Season 1 was Dany with the Dragons.

Season 2 was the White Walker army.

Season 3?

Coldhands or Lady Stoneheart seem like obvious choices.

My vote goes for Stoneheart, although I wish they would save that for the end of next season. Let the casual viewer forget all about her, then bring her back. Would be more epic.
