Cat is pulled from the River by the Brotherhood.
Now that would be a solid cliffhanger. Brotherhood pulls her out, Beric gives up his life for hers, and you see her eyes open up then the episode ends.
I don't think they keep her out for a full season though.

NW: Balon Greyjoy takes a dive. Asha moves to take his place. Toward the end of the episode, news of his demise reaches Dragonstone and we get the "two is not three" quote. NS: 'Much time spent developing the Greyjoys, starting with the Kingsmoot to replace Balon. Development of Asha's character and introduction of Victarion and Euron. The third king gets his in episode one.
I'm really looking forward to all this. I like Asha's character.

NS: Episode 1 focuses on the PW, ends with Joffrey biting it. Sansa leaves with Petyr, Tyrion is arrested. Major storyline will be Tyrion's trial and escape from KL. This will also provide the segue to introduce the Martell's through the RV. Season 4 finale has Tyrion's farewell to Tywin. If Sansa's storyline is developed with her going with Petyr to the Fingers and then to the Eyrie, then the season 4 finale may also have the flight of Lady Lysa.
I just want to see who gets casted for the Red Viper. It would be the perfect role for someone big to come in for it because of it's short lived existence.

NW: Dany moves on to Mereen and begins her attack. They keep the disturbing image of the slaves slaughtered to point the way to Mereen. NS: They'll work the storyline of Dany's time in Mereen, the Pale Mare, her and Daario, Jorah's exile, etc. This may be a lesser storyline for season 4 while they focus on the other characters.
There's some suspicion because of the Gold Harpy that sits atop the pyramid where they are now that cities may be combined.

You're right, I hadn't thought of that but they did it once already with Sean Bean. Plus, the show is far more popular than it was in season one, so I doubt they would have trouble landing someone big. Who would you cast?

I'm sure it's been discussed but I'm a weekday warrior to the boards.
Jeyne was not part of the scheme.

I saw that and thought that it made sense, but then 3 guys deliver Yunkai up to her in a single episode, the trailer for next week shows her with a mass of humanity behind her, and the name of the finale is "Mhysa", all pointing to the march to Mereen. All a guess, it could still be that they combined the cities.

I honestly don't know. It all depends on what your perception of what a Dornishman looks like. I'd love to see someone like James Purefoy in that role because anyone who watched him in Rome as Marc Antony knows he has that swagger that the Red Viper has. But I don't know if he'd physically fit what people would consider a Dornishman ethnically.
One that I think could be up for it if he's willing is Oded Fehr (from the Mummy and Resident Evil movies). And he'd fit the physical profile.

Apparently not. I'll admit, the "Lannister Honeypot" theorists had me convinced, but she seemed genuinely preggers and genuinely in love with Robb in last night's episode. Could be that she was part of it and Tywin had her killed because her child would be the heir to Winterfell, but that really seems unlikely now.

Especially the Purple Wedding being next season
This seems a little risky. Gleason has gotten a lot of notice for his Joffrey and I'm sure he's got a truckload of offers. They're just assuming he can schedule around one episode, it would be safer to just do it now so he can move on.

I see the Dornish as being very spanish or middle-eastern. I hope they go very big with the name but yet stay true to the character, dangit I've got to reread.
Does anyone remember a description of Red Viper?

Gleason has said he's done with acting after the show and is going to university.

James Purefoy, Oded Fehr
Those are pretty solid. Ethnically, Southern Italian, Middle Eastern or Hispanic, maybe? Dark complexion, swag and enough of a badass to kill Gregor Clegane. Old enough to have several adult children, so mid to late 40s. Doran mid 50s.
Oded Fehr fits my image of Oberyn pretty closely and would be great, but I wouldn't call him a "big" name.

Mine too. And I guess it would be "big" in terms of ending up on a TV show. I think The Following somehow got the green light for a second season (mind-blowing considering the other shows that network has cancelled in the past) so I don't even know that Purefoy would be available sadly. And I know he had some serious beef with HBO over how Rome got cancelled, but I was hoping with some of his former co-stars on the cast they'd talk him into it.
I honestly don't know who'd fit that role that's a bigger name though. Especially of that age range.

Oded Fehr would be great. Hopefully it picks up steam among the fans and the writers take notice. Wasn't Sean Bean and Peter Dinklage cast the same way? By the murmuring of fans or was it the producers who envisioned the actors as the characters?

my boss is a non-reader and she watches GOT like the rest of us.
she just came in genuinely pissed, sad, and every "frick you" emotion possible.
I kind of prepared her for it when Season 3 started when I told her big things will happen in this season.

Dornish:
Three types of Dornishmen:
Salty - lived on the coasts, "lithe and dark with smooth olive skin and long black hair" (Southern Italian / Greek)
Sandy - even darker, their faces burned by the hot desert sun" (Middle Eastern)
Stony "- "biggest and fairest...brown haired or blonde with faces that freckled or burned instead of browning (Northern Italian)
Oberyn's description:
"He sat his saddle as if he had been born there, tall, slim, graceful. The princeling removed his helm. Beneath, his face was lined and saturnine, with thin arched brows above large eyes as black and shiny as pools of coal oil. Only a few streaks of silver marred the lustrous black hair that receded from his brow in a widow's peak as sharply pointed as his nose. A salty Dornishmen for certain".
