Id rather eat food off a stranger's dental floss than watch a star wars movie with unnecessary humor and teenage one liners

Anthony Ingruber. He would have been perfect, if not for the fact that he is an impressionist, not an actor.

Think it'll suck, trailer didn't look good.

But they better show the Kessel run in 12 parsecs in the movie.

looks like a trailer. you really just can't tell anymore.

But, given their recent crop of crap, it's become pretty obvious that Disney has no interest in being creative or genuinely entertaining. Every movie is written in a board room and represents a product, nothing more.

I strongly suspect the over-the-top SJW shite is just them trying to feel better about whatever horrible things they do to people.

And yeah, the little prince needed acting lessons in the middle of production. Know what Harrison Ford needed? Not acting lessons.

Huh? Sure you can.

I watched the trailer and thought the trailer looked good. Don’t know about the movie until I see that. But, I thought the trailer was good and I will see the movie bc of it.

Am I missing something? I’m not a Star Wars guy so maybe I am just ignorant, but the last movie wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. The only great Star Wars movie was empire strikes back, in my opinion. Those three that came out after the Jedi were shite shows.

Age, and I don't quite think they got the special effect quite right for Vader's voice over. Same with the lightsaber sound effects in the ST and Rogue One.

CGI Peter Cushing was comically bad.

That;s pretty much exactly what I said.

So you've learned nothing.

At least watch it online so you're not enriching a bunch of pedos.

I've seen this type of tease once before. It didn't scare me enough then; it does now.

I guess for you it wasnt. For me it was one of the worst movies i have ever seen in my life. A complete abomination. Want to know how much i hated it? Its been nearly a month since ive seen it and during my viewing a a fire alarm got pulled that made me miss the ending. I got a free pass but havent gone back to finish it. Its just that awful.

Full Solo Trailer

I guess I'm in the minority here...but there are just some characters I think are simply off limits of ever being recast...EVER. Interestingly, Harrison Ford plays two of them...Han Solo and Indiana Jones.

Neither or these characters are James Bond, who had a life before the movies in novelized form and who continued to be recast as actors aged out. Harrison Ford MADE these guys who they were and why we all loved them both. It was his natural charm that breathed life into them.

So...even had they cast that one guy that does that incredible Harrison Ford impersonation, he still wouldn't have been Ford. And the guy they DID cast looks and sounds absolutely nothing like him.

I'm all for new Star Wars movies within the universe...but with NEW characters, not old ones where they feel the need to change who they were when they are now old or recast to do prequels with actors that can't ever be them.

Honestly...did anyone look at that guy and say, Yep...Han Solo!" Of course not...

I wholeheartedly agree. Those two icons are just untouchable.

ESPECIALLY if you can't NAIL the casting. From everything I've seen, this dude is just NOT Han.

for me, it's not just that they were great. It's that he is as much a part of them as the writing. Han Solo nor Indiana Jones stand on their own...they are as much Harrison Ford as they are their own thing.

It's not like casting Superman or Batman or any number of literary characters. You've got some license there. But a character like this really IS the actor.

I was 7 when Star Wars came out in 1977...I'd love a continuing Star War line of movies...but not if it means reconning the old characters to fir whatever bullshite story line they want to do now (see TLJ) or going back and recasting main characters to do a prequel set of movies that ultimately alter the originals by their existence.

In a galaxy from a long time ago and far away...are the ONLY available stories ones that utilize the same set of characters we already know??

They are going to say that he has a high concentration of midichlorians. That's why he got the drop on Greedo and why he is such a great pilot.

Come on now. I've thought this movie was a bad idea from the start but that's just silly.

I've seen a couple of Twilight movies and don't get the comparison at all. Those movies are essentially mopey sexual awakening melodrama flicks w/a vampire coating.

Can you explain why you think this feels like Twilight to you?
