Considering she is associated with Freddie Prinze Jr and, by extension, the late Freddie Prinze Sr, I’m not sure she is great at picking and choosing who she is associated with.

This is going to cause one heck of a battle royal on here.

I like to label these things under the smoke and fire category. If there is a lot of smoke, and considering everyone that has come out, including Buffy herself, I am inclined to believe there is a fairly sizable fire causing it.

Why didn't they come forward sooner! You mean like the various Ohio State wrestlers that told Jim Jordan something hinky was going on but he ignored them? Or perhaps the fact that everyone in Hollywood knew that Harvey Weinstein was a sexually abusive sleaze? Or all the women that Bill Cosby raped?

At some level I think everyone on here, after reading the allegations and statements, has to agree that Whedon was, at best, an unprofessional a-hole who tormented his actors. At worst he was a monster. If he is getting hung out to dry now for it... well... he earned it.

Nobody has a bad word to say about his brother Jed and Jed's wife Maurissa Tancharoen from their stint running Agents of Shield.

I don’t know about that - I mean Junior sure has his issues, but she married him. She only worked with Joss. Big difference.

And it isn’t just one girl saying it.

A real feminist knows it's true equality when you treat everyone like shite regardless of gender.

This reference is too deep and tangential for me to figure out.

How many times can one dude be cancelled?

His ex-wife said he had numerous affairs with aspiring young actresses and that his modus operandi was to talk about how down with feminism he was and how much his Feminist(TM) writing could nurture their careers - then he dropped them like a hot potato.

She called him a lying, manipulative hypocrite that didn't actual respect women. Seems entirely plausible.

Nothing any of these women are saying implies anything more than that, so I guess I'd ask again - how many more times are we going to go through this with him? Then again, dude is Hollywood royalty via Dad and Grandpa and has a whole litter of cousins and step-siblings in the industry, so maybe we gotta do it 2 or 3 more times.

At least Carpenter put actual examples into whatever accusations she has. As a fan of Angel, I remember that the conflict between them during season 4 was widely discussed - there was definitely enmity between them while the season played out.

The others piling on using innuendo are valueless to me. Give examples if you really have issues - allusion should not be enough to make these accusations. There are so many more examples of all of these women praising Joss (even years after the show ended).

Here is the Buffy reunion shoot the entire cast (including all mentioned here) took part in with Joss. It was like 3 or 4 years ago.

Kind of highlights how phony everyone in Hollywood is. Both the folks in power who love to shout buzz words about fair treatment/equality while living the exact opposite and the actors who accept it as standard course of practice, all to stay in the limelight or collect the paycheck.

I don't doubt for a second that Joss is an a hole... but I also find it odd that she invokes her "religious beliefs" in the Twitter post when history shows she got naked for playboy just after having her kid. iono, just odd

She might be in her forties now, but she's still very much... "my thing"

I wonder if it is just harsh language being used and Joss seeing how they mail in their performance and told them to stop being lazy.

In today day and age, calling someone out for their shite is call "emotional abuse." Now if there is sexual allegation then Joss is going down but it is "emotional" abuse, I'll take what these actor divas say with a grain of salt.
