#BlackPanther is a love letter about blackness, to a world that often ghettoizes it without realizing that it is on black backs that this planet revolves.
This world’s livelihood is in our blood.
Heavy fricking eye roll.

Hoping that this is a standalone film with little reliance on the Avengers storyline.
I'm guessing this movie will revolve around the Soul Stone given IW is next.

Wow that's a huge name giving that review too. Allow me to blow it out of proportion and give it credence.

Definitely not watching this in the theaters

BLACK PANTHER is like a Marvel movie, but better. the action is predictably awful, but this is the first MCU film that has an actual sense of identity & history & musicality. Wakanda is alive

BLACK PANTHER is black as frick and I love it for it. Y'all don't understand how good it feels to see. I want to live in Wakanda. #BlackPanther #BlackPantherSoLit

@SassyMamainLA #BlackPanther is black, beautiful and proud. A gorgeously shot film with heart, action, and a message that is so needed today. The women shine bright, bold and strong and are everything women of color have been denied... till now. #RyanCoogler is a genius. LONG LIVE THE KING!!
unfortunately you're probably going to have people on both sides, either supporting it or hating it because they believe its trying to make some political statement. When the reality is that it likely just wants to be viewed as a good action movie

If that's the case, they'll catch shite for putting the Soul stone in their blackcentric movie. Sounds like the plot to Shaft goes to Africa III.

I think we all know this movie will get automatic positive reviews. That or the reviewer will have the race card slung at them. That being said, it looks pretty decent, but I'm getting the feeling its been over hyped..

I recognize exactly zero of the names of the people sending those tweets.
I want it to be good because I like good movies.
I'm skeptical because no one is going to be too critical of such a black cast in the climate.
But I'm still hopeful because the character was good in CW and the trailers seemed alright.

i feel the same about this as i do Wonder Woman. i want it to be great, because i think BP is a great character.
what i don't want is for everybody to beat their dicks over the top because it's a "black" movie.
Wonder Woman was fantastic. On its own merits, not because of a woman director or a woman lead and not in spite of either. it was just a great movie and i wish it could just be viewed in that matter.
Ryan Coogler is fantastic as well. i like everything he's done. Chadwick Boseman is a great actor. Loved his take on BP in CA:CW.
my problem with getting all excited over the minority frenzy, is that it takes away from the directors' and leads' work because we're viewing in light of "oh this is great for a minority." how bout just saying "it's just great!"
maybe i'm just in a weird place about both of these movies, i just think getting excited over a minority's work, because they're a minority takes away from their humanity and overall body of work. i want to be able to praise Jenkins and Coogler for just being awesome at their craft. Not because of how they were born and getting one right at their craft.

I agree with this 100%. I am sure the people involved with this project would love for that to be the case, but unfortunately in today's climate so many people feel the need to "pick a side" in regards to everything.

BLACK PANTHER is incredible, kinetic, purposeful. A superhero movie about why representation & identity matters, and how tragic it is when those things are denied to people. The 1st MCU movie about something real; Michael B. Jordan’s Killmonger had me weeping and he’s the VILLAIN
Isn’t this the retard that also cried tears of joy Bc of Rose in TLJ? She’s an emotional one.

We've already decided that we'll see this movie in one theater for the enjoyment of the movie, and a different theater to enjoy the audience reactions.

So, is this Black Panther character a kang?

It's probably pretty solid, Marvel does keep churning out the hits, but thou doth praise too much. BP is either the greatest super hero movie ever made, or there were some people scared to say a negative word about it for some reason that I can't quite put my finger on.
