My top 3 in no particular order:

Downfall

That whole movie is greatness, even if the Hitler reacting joke is completely played out.

City of God is great

The Dead Lands is a personal favorite of mine. Along the same lines as Apocalypto.

Le Pacte des Loups (Brotherhood of the Wolf) - what a crazy mass-up of genres!

Does this even qualify as a 21st Century film? Came out in 2000.

I would add The Lives Of Others.

The Weinstein bros. were gonna do an English version, I thought, but hasn't happened yet.

Incendies is one of the best films I've EVER seen.

So I guess it would have to be that.

But my favorites are (because I like creepy horror):

The Orphanage
Pulse

Cap ou pas cap?

Total modern French cinema and a great example like Amelie.

Really fun movie...

Would never work as an American adaption like the Dinner Game was a disaster.
