To compare, Saving Private Ryan has a running time of 2:50, which I hardly noticed when I first saw it. Schindler's List on the other hand is 3:17, and I felt every fricking minute of that movie.

I'm m generally against longer movies on the premise of, "this ain't THE GODFATHER..." Well, this is THE GODFATHER of comic book movies. Go for three hours. This movie can sustain the runtime.

Totally fine with this. It’s the culmination of the MCU to this point and tying it all together. It’s meant to be an epic and I’m cool with whatever time they need to tell the best story.

3 hours would seem like an hour with this movie. I could have sat another 2 hours easily for IW.
I would be willing to pay $25 a ticket for a 5-6 hour movie with intermission to help offset the limited number of showings due to a long run time.

After IW if they said end game was coming on next I would have stayed for the next 3 hours without batting an eye.
IW has also held up to multiple viewings unlike the first avengers. The fact that BP got an Oscar nomination over this is so laughable

I've watched BP once and have no desire to re-watch. I've watched IW at least half a dozen times. Hell, I've even watched Ragnarok about 4-5 times.

If only there were a job in Hollywood where the person worked with the director to EDIT THE FILM!!! Raw cuts are often ridiculously long and they can easily get it to 2 and a half hours or less.

Needs to be 3 hours..So Black Panther, Hawkeye, War Machine and Cap get to show what they can really do cause the stars of IW were Iron Man, Dr Strange, and Thor mostly

This movie has been in post production for almost a year. I’m sure they’ve already made heavy, heavy cuts. I really don’t expect them to cut a whole 30 minutes at this point, this late in the editing. The Russo’s have said they want it completed by March (likely to show the final cut to Disney shareholders) so they’ve not got long left. Could they cut 10-15 minutes worth of scenes and keep it under 3 hours? Sure.
But them cutting a full 30 minutes after they’ve gone on record saying three hours seems like the right run time just seems out of place
