Guy allows the local chef/owner to be the center of attention and seems genuinely respectful of them. Yes, his dress and shtick look somewhat douchey, but appears to be actually a nice guy.

I get good ideas at hole in the wall places to try watching hos show.

His show introduced me to The Joint, Katie's and Sammy's Deli, all three of which I love and had never been to before his show.

I like when he goes to a place and the chef says something totally wrong and Guy just makes a face to the camera, but can't say anything negative to the cook.

Two I remeber where a Po Boy shop in NOLA, and the guy says (we just cook the meat in water, the flavor is all in the gravy) and another place that said meat doesn't get the flavor when you season it before cooking.

same as most people here....he looks douchy but he does seem respectful to the people he visits. I would love to do that show. However, I would weigh about 200 lbs more than I do now.

every episode i watch, i say to myself "man that sure looks good. i would definitely eat that." talking about the food.

Because of him and Adam Richmond of Man v Food, Ive been to a lot of places that I would have never gone to previously. A lot were good, some bad.

I dont let his over the top behavior influence me. I do think its funny watching him eat something he doesnt like. He will compliment it, but he wont take another bite, and there is no emotion in the way he describes it.

I'll say this, the dude revolutionized the quality of hamburgers served on Carnival Cruise lines. For that he has my respect.

Fieri has no problem with foods that have eggs incorporated into the recipe, like muffins, but if he’s served a dish that has cooked eggs on it, like scrambled eggs with biscuits and gravy or a sunny side up egg on a burger, he’ll make sure it doesn’t go anywhere near his mouth. Watch closely the next time someone tries to serve him eggs, and you’ll see for yourself.

His restaurants suck.
He has made a living off Diners Drive Ins and Dives and that is helpful when you are on the road and can hit a few of those places, I have done it several times.
I wouldn't mind to get paid for that life!

Wait tables in a restaurant long enough, you'll come up with your own personal ethnic stereotypes. And your future predictions won't be far off.

I like the show. He has the douche haircut and outfit, but he makes the show about the people and places you don't normally hear about. Makes me want to eat in 95% of those places.
