They'll just make the character androgynous with a flat chest and flat arse.
Like in the Netflix show

Can we just like make one movie or series without this guy?

Go the route of a young Indiana Jones.

With Glen Powell as Indiana Jones
He’d be a good choice and sort of fits the look of the character.
Which is why Disney will never allow it.
They goal, like with Star Wars, is not to reboot and enhance the franchise but to destroy it.

I actually thought they should have done this like Bond a long time ago.
Instead of old man Indy

Brandon Sklenar (1923) might be a good choice.

Please go with someone in their 30’s. Glen Powell would be a good choice. Brandon Sklenar may not be bad either, but not sure about comedic element with him. If they go Pedro Pascal they’re just trying to lose money at this point.

They’d be wiser to do stories in that universe and leave Indy alone for awhile.

Idris Elba was made for this role.

Is already 52. If they went into production soon, instead of a year or two out, that still has him well older of Ford when he made The Last Crusade.
If you want to make 3 movies say over a 10- to 12-year period, you need an Indy on the right side of 40, IMHO (FTR, Ford turned 38 during filming of Raiders).
An exception I might make is Cavill. That would be my Hail Mary! if I had control over the property. I would throw a bag of money at Kosinski to do 3 films, Cavill in the lead. I would consider having Elba in the role of the University guy (Denholm Elliot's character). I would NOT revisit the Lost Ark or Holy Grail. I would NOT do an origin story. I would just find a new jungle/desert/ruin story and keep the Nazis the bad guys (set them, timeline-wise, also in the 30s).

Other things Nazis searched for were Atlantis and Thor’s Hammer. Don’t know how I’d feel about an Indy movie centered around those.

Better be Leslie “Indiana” Jones or I’m not watching.

The recent video game was awesome. Let that team write the next movies.

Is there a creative person still left in Hollywood?

This. He seems like an insufferable prick and makes me not want to give him any of my money. I say that as someone who usually doesn't get that worked up over the personal views and behaviors of actors.

Agreed.
Pascal isn’t even a good actor.
I wonder who he had to Weinstein to get where he is.
