This has probably already been discussed but I don't post here that much. Are there any other 80s/90s movies something like this could work for?

This show has just gotten more absurd as this season has gone on. It’s so absurd

The song choices this season were incredible.
Yes, but it felt like they finally got rights to a bunch of music and just used that while the score took a back seat.

The original scores were one of my favorites aspects of this show in early seasons. I’ll throw it on in the car from time to time. Leo Birenberg and Zach Robinson made some bangers.

I didn't realize what was going on initially but read that when Daniel and Johnny shared a meal at the end that the Cobra Kai co-creators Josh Heald and Jon Hurwitz had casual background conversation discussing a potential Back to the Future series. They even namedropped franchise stars Thomas F. Wilson, Lea Thompson, and Michael J Fox as possible players in the project.

Just a fun nod or something more?

Whats funny is I didn’t catch on to what they were talking about until they mentioned Crispin Glover.

I didn't even know they were the co-creators!

Cobra Kai may never be discussed alongside shows like Mad Men or Severance, but I'll be damned if it isn't the most fun I've ever had watching a series.

The final five episodes just released stuck the landing like no show prior. I didn't need my couch for most of them, as I was compelled to watch standing, it was so bad-arse. Rare is the show that can make you laugh, cry, and wanna kick somebody's arse all in the span of 24 minutes.

I loved every bit of it.

The match between Miguel and Axel had a hint of Daniel vs Cobra Kai with the, break his spine and end it. And the student not wanting to win that way.

It kind of looked like Axel was throwing the fight.

It's definitely top 3 series for me. It was an incredible ride!

I forget now which episode had it, but I liked when they played "No Shelter" (the song from the original movie when Johnny and his buddies chase Daniel down from the Halloween dance and beat the crap out of him).

the 1 main complaint I had was the Yacht fight. I know they are both old but it looked really sloppy and sad. Most of the season was quite enjoyable though, and while kinda silly it was nice for Johnny to get the win.

The tournament point system was a bit wonky in that you can have the Male and Female champs and still not be the best dojo

Most unrealistic part of the entire series.

followed with there being a nonstop flight from LAX to Okinawa

I found it weird there was no mention or character reaction to the Kreese/Silver absence at minimum or news if it was known that Silver's yacht blew up.

How perfect was the ending? Johnny leading Cobra Kai dojo, then on to the restaurant where you think Daniel's going to catch the fly with the chopsticks, only to have Johnny come in and brute force kill it with his hands, the Cobra Kai way. They couldn't have done anything better IMO.

Those middle seasons got a little rough, but those last 5 episodes were absolutely incredible.
