Psssh, maybe you aren't but I'm a fricking phenomenal husband. Probably the best ever.

This reminds me of one of my old exes. A few months ago her husband and "love of her life" died in a car wreck. Like two days later she updates her Facebook profile to "in a relationship". With a dude who is like 15 years younger than she.

He has a new lease on life, probably the best panty dropper of a story to tell of any man living and enough money to do whatever he wants.

If he can't find happiness with another woman, it's his own damn fault.

it's like when the extreme dumped Jamie Gertz for Helen. Does not compute

With all the real life crap out there to deal with, figure out, overcome------who really gives a shite how long a character in a movie, and a silly one at that, took to get married after her former lover was pronounced dead.

I just don’t see how I could just drive away and live my life. And you know her relationship was never going to be the same with her current husband

yes my reaction exactly
her life is going to be in shambles from then on, and his life will always be a massive what-if.

not a happy ending at all but I guess that makes it more realistic than most movie endings. It’s not even bittersweet it’s just really messy and sad

So Chuck is stuck on that island for 4 years. Comes back to Memphis only to find out Kelly has married his dentist, lives in a giant house and has a daughter who looks like she is about 2…. So that would mean that Kelly must have been seeing this guy within about 6 months of the “love of her life” going down in a plane crash???

She sucks

I lost my wife at a fairly early age and I think the writers got it right. He was dead and she needed to move on. In my case there was an initial burst of energy to keep things as normal. Dated some, some successful, others not so much. After that peak of testosterone, I just wanted to care for what was left of the family. I have no qualms with her moving on. Now Jenny coming home to Forrest is another type of evil.

Of all the movies, Cast Away always gets me at the end. It’s such a punch to the gut when he goes to visit her and she runs out in the rain.

Yep. Cast Away is a perfect movie. I’m making a list of all the critics in this thread and they will pay a price for talking down this film

This is such a great film. I wish movies were still made like this in 2022

I thought it was creepy and morbid how she keep Chuck's SUV (in great condition) along with all of those maps spread out everywhere.

Had I been her husband I would have shut that shite down and sold the SUV.
