Jon Bernthal was fricking awful on TWD. Like seriously one of the worst actors on a show littered with terrible acting. And he sucks in most other things I've seen him in as well.

My only concern is what happens after season 1.

I wouldn't put it past them to make a 2-3 week apocalypse drag out over multiple seasons. Just think of how may different things they can show in a city the size of Los Angeles that are technically unfolding simultaneously but obviously can't be shown simultaneously.

Perspective from a different group and supposed to show the beginning of the zombie transformation.

But after the reveal of the beginning, isn't it just the same thing?

Generally speaking it's the same (eat, survive, etc.), but I'd think surviving in a huge city like LA would be vastly different from rural Georgia.

The sheer number of zombies, for one, would be the worst issue, not to mention things like infrastructure and shite like that.

Considering this new series is supposedly the result of AMC throwing money at the creator, I was surprised it was only 6 episodes. Kirkman may be limiting the scope of the spinoff so that it can tell a different story.

Shane and best actor in the same sentence...really makes you wonder how this show came to be so popular.

Also, after the reveal, it's still new. You still have government, military, lots of functioning things you can play off of as opposed to the real apocalypse still show that the original one is.

The first season is only 6 episodes. Season two has already been approved for 15 episodes.

Also, time will pass slower in this show. So they are gonna show a lot of different aspects of the first few weeks or months of the apocalypse over the first two or three seasons.

It will be interesting to see where they take this and how fast the ZA plays out. The initial family doesn't look all that interesting, although I'm sure you could have said the same of Rick, Lori and Carl.

And let's not forget the comic "Zombie Tramp."

I think it's gonna be cool to see people learning what's going on, the collapse of the the city, nation, military and government. The walking dead skipped all that except for some flashbacks like when guards went in and shot all the hospital staff where rick was at.

All the stuff Morgan taught rick about the walkers like the head kill, them being attracted by light and noises, etc. we will get to watch people learn by trial and error. I love the walking dead, but it's gonna be cool to see the walkers be a real threat again against people that aren't trained badasses.

I can't remember a show that has the effect that Walking Dead has. Either you really like it or you can't shutup about how much you hate it/how badly it sucks. It's like it bores into the minds of everyone, including those that don't enjoy it. It's like they take it personally that they don't enjoy the show and have to let everyone know about it.

Hopefully they don't kill the most talented actor and best character on the show in the first season
They killed Merle long after the first season.

The Governor after that. . .

Those were the best actors in the show.

Lennie James has been the best actor in the show no question.

Isn't he just doing a Danny Glover impression?
