Not speaking of show writer or societal inferences in this, simply acting chops.

All the stuff Morgan taught rick about the walkers like the head kill, them being attracted by light and noises, etc. we will get to watch people learn by trial and error. I love the walking dead, but it's gonna be cool to see the walkers be a real threat again against people that aren't trained badasses.

But they still lose people occasionally when they are severely outnumbered or do something stupid, like go inside a warehouse looking for some electronics to remedy solar panels at the massive community they all ended up in during season 5.

The farm season did drag on some, but I was binge watching it so it went by a little faster. The prison season was probably the best with the whole Governor angle. Hated to see Herschel go, but he would have been a liability after they all abandoned it anyways.

I also saw a recent article that they are going to film parts of season 6 near Anniston Alabama. Some abandoned military buildings.

I don't know that the warehouse run was stupid. Tyrese's death was pretty stupid and preventable though. And I wasn't saying they don't lose people in tough situations, but the walker death to human death ratio has always been way more walkers dieing than humans, I think it'll be cool to see it the other way around.

I'm not sure. I saw an AL.com article shared on Facebook. Tried to find it on their site but couldn't.

I bet the original walking dead cast are jelly as hell that they have to shoot in Georgia while the new cast gets to stay in LA.

They are actually shooting most of it in Toranto.

My interest level is sky high (almost at the level of GoT and BB new season anticipation level).

The way the show is setup (Urban Chaos and the dawn of the outbreak), I may enjoy this even more than TWD (which I love).

Perspective from a different group and supposed to show the beginning of the zombie transformation.

This. I saw that trailer in a commercial and I was stunned they were doing something so similar, but that seems to be the only difference.

In the writer's room they even used the motive "what didnt I explore from the walking dead in this zombie world?"

Some of the people from TWD are working on this, and yes, it basically runs through the beginning and transformation of the zombie apocalypse, while TWD just picks up when its already gone down, and Rick wakes up when most people are already zombies.

I'm excited for it. Hopefully they have some competent actors and they isn't flounder. Walking dead killed my interest in the show a little after they got to the prison and I've never been able to get back into it.

Same. I stopped after season 3. I was also watching HBO shows at the time, so TWD wasnt that interesting comparatively.

For me TWD is an enjoyable show. I think they do a solid job with it, but it seems like it has the opportunity to be a great show, and they just don't quite get there. Every season it feels like there are multiple missteps and weird choices. I am interested to see if they can do better w/ Fear, or if it will just be a watered down version of the original.
