The acting was suburb.

Yes, it was. Brad and Leo gave us cul-de-sac performances.

Love ‘em all but Jackie — boring.

As for Basterds — still laughing at Pitt’s “Bonjourno” scene at the film opening in the lobby.

Hollywood is a go to movie when I want to put on background noise and play some games. He really captured the feel of the sea.

I don’t find him to be a very good actor but this movie was his best acting imo

QT connected the art department to his vintage porn collector

You say this like everyone doesn’t have a vintage porn collector on their payroll.

I chuckled watching the latest “Scream” movie when the girl that’s in both that movie and “…Hollywood” had similar endings in both films.

Is it me or is every song Tarantino uses for his movies feel like they were meant to be part of his films regardless of how old the songs are?

Have that recorded on my DVR. Hope to get to it soon since college football is over.

Watch and post your thoughts.

I need to watch it again, apparently a ton of people liked it much more on the second go around.

I remember not wanting to watch it as I heard it was a story involving the manson murders. Then I read one of the threads regarding the movie on this board saying it had altered history which caught my interest.

I first watched it and thought it was pretty good; enjoyed Pitt's character and the ending but didn't live up to the board hype for me. 2nd watch; appreciated DiCaprio's performance even more and ultimately it does live up to the hype. Great casting and the director was able to bring a very good original story to the screen.

I’ve been listening to the soundtrack repeatedly since it was released. Tarantino left in all of the DJ intros, commercials, and the Batman contest from the credits.

BTW, all of the music is chronologically accurate, until he alters history at the end of the film. The film ends with the score from Paul Newman’s Life and Times of Judge Roy Bean, which is from the early 70’s. I took that as Tarantino’s “record scratch” as we hit an alternate timeline.

Meet Joe Black, The Mexican and ... Troy

Just awful

Troy had an absolutely horrendous script and terrible acting.

It's a damn shame too because it's terrific story, and the war and single scenes were solid.

Can't blame Pitt for that, even though he was awful.

Otherwise, QT himself might have gotten LSD "acid" mixed up with PCP, which was added to cigs and the dope back in the day.

Which is kinda surprising considering QT has almost certainly done dropped acid before.
