I finally watched this thing and he stole this movie.

Possibly his best-acting credit to date.

100% deserved the Oscar.

Loved everything about this movie.

Boards thoughts?

I think it's a fantastic movie, one of Tarantino's best, right up there with Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.

You could hear the 40+ women in the audience quietly moaning as he climbed on that rooftop and took off his shirt.

His acid trip scene was accurate, I hate when movies go over the top with hallucinations and cartoon animals appearing. He slopped the wet dog food out of the can and was just like “Whoa.” That’s a lot more on the nose than little tweety birds showing up and talking to you.

The man is almost 60 and is still very very handsome. Aged well and still a good actor.

Love the movie. The acting by Leo when his character is acting in the film is awesome. His and Pitt’s characters were both great.

I don’t think he was acting. I think that is how he lives his life.

Loved the way he chewed on the celery in the restaurant scene w/ Pacino. Reminded me of a younger Pitt chewing food in a scene w/ Redford. Full circle.

Hollywood and Jackie Brown are garbage. His best work was Dogs and The Bills. Oh and Basterds was garbage too.

Interesting tidbit i heard recently ... in order to accurately build and dress the Spahn ranch, QT connected the art department to his vintage porn collector who supplied a movie that was shot at the ranch. Only existing footage available to help recreate the vibe.

My friends disagree, but besides Pulp Fiction and Inglourious Basterds, it's my favorite Tarantino movie.

This is the first movie I enjoyed much more the 2nd time. I saw it opening weekend and didn’t know the Manson murders would be retconned. Dreading Sharon Tate’s eventual murder kept me from enjoying the ride. On rewatch, it was a blast.

That's not even close to being true. Robert Hendrickson and Laurence Merrick shot a documentary on the Manson Family in the early 70s that was filmed all over Spahn Ranch...and it's posted on youtube for anyone that wants to see it.

Merrick was murdered in a parking lot a few years later.

I didn’t know what was going to happen but seeing how the Tate family went from being very much against the movie at first to being very complimentary of Tarantino once they saw it made me think it could be the another case of Tarantino rewriting history.

I love Pulp Fiction, Jackie Brown, Reservoir Dogs, Hollywood, and Inglorious Bastards. Also True Romance which he wrote but didn’t direct. No clue how I would rank them.

I’m pretty sure he has a clause in his contracts that there has to be a scene in which he is eating something in every movie.
