The entire scene with Pitt at the Manson Ranch was great.
Him walking up to the house and not knowing George's fate was perfectly executed tension.

But you're kind of doing the same thing Django and Inglorious Basterds were both awesome. The opening scene of Inglorious Basterds was one of the best single scenes he's ever done. QT hasn't made a bad movie, although Death Proof wasn't that great.
Nah, at their core, Django and Basterds are pandering racist revenge flicks. Stylish in typical Tarantino fashion, but no depth to them at all, just "oh, look, we're killing Nazis and slavers." Both were boring.

The Saint is 75% right. The first half of Django almost put me to sleep. The second half was good.
Now Basterds. That movie straight up sucked. He's right on with that shite. The opening scene starts off great, becomes arse puckering tense, peaks and then just keeps going on and on and on until all tension is totally lost and you're begging the fricking Nazis to just go ahead and kill them all so we can move on.
Tarantino completely wasted all that tension. It's as though he doesn't know when to draw shite to a close.

Hollywood and Jackie Brown are garbage. His best work was Dogs and The Bills. Oh and Basterds was garbage too.

The acting by Leo when his character is acting in the film is awesome
Leo is a lot funnier than he gets credit for. The scene when he destroys his trailer for fricking up the lines with Timothy Olyphant was hilarious
"8 frickin whiskey sours! I couldn't stop at 3 or 4 I had to have 8!!!!"
You're a miserable drunk

There's no "depth" to any of them, just like a lot of Hollywood heavyweight ensemble movies have no depth. It's about the performances, dialogue, settings, costumes, etc.

Basterds (and I must assume Django, although I never watched it) is carried along by its performances to a great degree. QT does tend to extract good performances, regardless of the source material and Basterds may have the most consistently good performances since Reservoir Dogs.
In hindsight, I think he used up whatever clever ideas he might have had in his first 3 big movies (including True Romance, obviously) and has been riding his actors since. I mean, I love Jackie Brown as well, but it isn't particularly clever. If he doesn't cast both Grier and Forrester, I don't think the movie works.
I do love me some OUATIH, though. I might watch it this weekend.

Anything we can do about that heat?
Rick, it's a flamethrower.

Well shite fire! Big Daddy's raid speech was fantastic.
I loved Don Johnson in Django
I wish we could've seen Sasha Baron Cohen as "Scotty Harmony" but they edited out those scenes

I'm a huge QT fan; my only issue is that he tends to overthink his endings.

I love this scene:
Cliff: [to "Katie"] I don't know your name, but I do remember that hair. [to "Sadie"] And you, I remember your white little face. [to "Tex"] And you were on a horsey! Yeah... you are?
Tex: I'm the Devil. And I'm here to do the Devil's business!
Cliff: ...Nah, it was dumber than that. Something like Rex.
Sadie: Come on, shoot him, Tex!
Cliff: Tex!

“He said ‘I’m the Devil and I’m here to do some devil shite,’ that’s not verbatim.”

I think it's a fantastic movie, one of Tarantino's best, right up there with Pulp Fiction and Jackie Brown.
I'm gonna have to give it a rewatch. Maybe I just wasn't in the mood or something, but it didn't hit me like Pulp Fiction or Inglorious Bastards did. Not saying I didn't enjoy it. It was very entertaining.
I'll def give it a rewatch and maybe I'll appreciate it more this time.

The part with DiCaprio inserted into the Steve McQueen scene from The Great Escape was needless, pointless, and amazingly wonderful.

I thought it was great but there were a lot of scenes that were unnecessary and dragging. The acting was superb
