Blazing Saddles

Our theatre is showing Blazing Saddles twice today, so I took a long lunch and watched the 12:30pm showing. While I have seen it many times it was my 1st time seeing it in a theatre.
About 16 people in the theatre, 12 of them probably over 70, then a father about my age -40's with his teen son. Hearing everyone laugh for a solid 90 minutes made it even better.
What in the wide, wide world of sports is a-goin' on here? I hired you people to get a bit of track laid, not to jump around like a bunch of Kansas City ****!

There's a good YouTube channel where two young black people named BJ and Asia watch movies and react to them. They did Blazing Saddles in one episode.

About five years ago, when my son was 17, I made him sit down and watch Blazing Saddles with me. He thought it was hilarious and could not believe there was a time a movie like that could be made.

Every movie reaction channel has done Blazing Saddles. The young folks think its edgy because they say that word a lot.

We saw it in a theater last fall. It was about forty dudes, most over fifty, and maybe two women. There was a group of three or four guys in their 60s on our row. They quoted the entire damn movie.

I did that with my nephews about 10 years ago when they were in their early teens. I don't think I've ever heard them laugh so deeply and hard, especially at the camp-fart scene.

I had totally forgot about the tail end of the movie when they go onto the movie studio sets.
I kept laughing seeing the Hitler in the background at the food court. And him saying he was being cut after the bunker scene. And also the Germans signing up for the raid on Rock Ridge. Raising their right hands haha.

The only thing worse are the TikTok videos of "creators" nodding and pointing up to someone saying something of "import".
