If they really wanted to do something, make it super low budget / guerrilla filmmaking with a talented director and film it in Austin Texas heat.

Yes. Found footage works perfect with the concept. The photos starting the original is kind of proto-FF.

The 2003 movie did that poorly. It was so bad.

I just don't think anyone who wants to spend the money would do FF. It's seen as a lower form of horror and just look at the studios/creators involved. I can't see Jordan Peel "lowering himself" to do FF. He's going to do something obtuse and meta more than likely in a slick package.

Definitely not Peele’s company.

I think the 2003 remake is underrated. Nowhere near the original, but a solid horror flick

This was my first introduction into this series. I loved it. Especially when the girl hitch hiker pulls a revolver out of her snatch in the beginning.

The only thing horror-related in (another) remake of this classic is the efforts of creatively-challenged vultures to make more dollars off of its name.

Has Taylor Sheridan done anything with the horror genre?

The endgame of his shows tend to be in the horrible genre.

What’s left to do? They’ve made prequels and such

I have no opinion because I have zero interest in the subject matter or genre of this type movie or tv show. This lame arse story has been around since the early 1970's.

If Spielberg, Cecil B. Demille, Orsen Wells, Scorsese, Ridley Scott, Taylor Sheridan and James Cameron all collaborated to make this an epic thriller, I will still miss watching it - on purpose - because I think these type movies suck.

Not scary, just pathetic entertainment.

Id rather watch grass grow.

Disney, just to watch this board melt like a mofo.

Giving it to the people who made the animated Predator movie on Hulu might not be the worst idea.

Horror in general or the best horror movie ever made?

Why even comment ITT about a specific subject other than to expose your bad taste or inability to label genres correctly?

Can someone tell me what Glenn Powell has to do with A24?

He’s one of my favorite actors right now, but I’m just curious why his name is associated with the rights

Seems like they're in business together. They collaborated on the upcoming 'Huntington' film.

Looking the filmographies, I have enjoyed Neon's catalog overall better, but a24 has a lot of bangers. Good director choice would Brandon Cronenberg, Neon distributed both of his pictures.

I see you are a know it all on all topics, not just your horrible liberal law opinions.

Considering you never STFU on any issue or topic, its rich that you tell me how I should not comment.

My "no opinion" meant, to the questions regarding the studios that are in the running........ get lost.

In his defense (I can’t believe I’m saying this because SFP is obnoxious as hell) you are being a c unt. You care so little about this subject matter that you had to make a post letting us know how little you care. Narcissistic to a T. So kindly frick off so everyone else can have a friendly discourse about said subject.

I'd rather his post, and dont get me wrong it sucks, than all the predictable, lazy, useless, posts about DEI, trans, gay, etc. They bring nothing to the discussion but attempts to derail it and are the main reason this board has become mostly unreadable.

Back to topic at hand, maybe I just came to it way too late but I find TCM to be horribly overrated and the acting to be some of the worst ever put to film. I just don't get what everyone sees in it. I love horror, this one just doesn't do it for me.
