Star Trek the Original, Next Generation.
Star Trek the Movie
E.T.
Chariots of Fire
Fist full of Dollars

If you can’t name it by just hearing the tune then you haven’t watched tv or the movies.

All of the Barry Lyndon soundtrack, particularly the funeral adagio used in the death and funeral procession for Bryon Lyndon. (“Sarabande, 4th movement” Written by George Frideric Handel. From the Suite for Harpsichord in D-minor, HWV 437. Arranged for orchestra.)
Not an instrumental, but the opera scene in Hannibal featuring Vide cor Meum , particularly with the Dante tie in, is a perfect use of the piece.
It's used again in The Death of Baldwin in Kingdom of Heaven and it works there fairly well also.

Some of my recent favorites
Sicario
Interstellar
Joker
Inception
The Social Network (not “powerful” but still great)
Requiem for a Dream
That crazy 10 minute sequence at the end of Annihilation was made by the score

Great work but I think The Mission is his masterpiece.
Once Upon a Time in the West wasn’t too shabby, either...

Last of the Mohicans is the answer.
I’ll also add Jeremiah Johnson as a great soundtrack, too.

End of Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon with Yo Yo Ma on the cello is somewhere in the upper pantheon.

Nothing will top Luke Skywalker staring out at the twin sunset with the force theme playing.
