Thanks for reminding me. I played there about 5 months ago and it was so bad I forgot about it. I’ve been there several times over the past 5 years and the greens have always sucked. But hey it’s cheap!

Played it about 3 months ago. Greens were spotty and most fairways were hard pan. And the cart path might be bumpier than any unrepaired street in Lakeview or Uptown.

The place needs 3 changes: larger greens on the front 9, grass on the back 9 fairways and new cart paths.

It is an interesting piece of property

Yes. Next to the Belle Chase bridge and the canal. The levee 9 had a few holes with tee boxes on the levee. Was a fun course.

Anyone ever play Fashion in Hahnville?
Or Braithwaite?

Years ago at English Turn and perhaps even at Lakewood it took place in mid to late March. After Mardi Gras and before the Masters. That may work if the Tour doesn’t put it in between multiple signature events as it did this year.

I suspect that anti-Christian in his case means anti Christian nationalism. He views devout Christians as ultra right wing types.

At least Bayou Oaks got a new driving range out of it.

Yes, but last I saw it was quite ready. It be NOLA's bad luck to have that place be almost finished and the plug gets pulled.

LIV was probably going to end as we know it eventually but I'd like to see it last long enough for the event at Bayou Oaks.

So I guess this means no LPGA - LIV type tour in the future?

Scottie or Xander. Rahm in a distant 3rd.
I have no faith in Speiths game though he is showing improvement.

The Audacity on AMC

New series just started last night on AMC. Watched the first episode early this morning. Created by the same people that produced Succession.
Very entertaining so far. Black comedy involving various tech company founders and a therapist who is using her confidential sessions to try to strike it rich.

Ollie has two.

What about Cabrera? Just kidding.

re: Portugal & San Sebastián

Haven't done Portugal yet, but did spend one day in San Sebastian about 18 months ago. We did a small group walking tour with food & wine and we had a great time. Learned a lot about the history of the city.

That area does have several multi-star Michelin places. Some are considered one time experiences. We didn't have enough time to take in one of those, but if you are there for 3 nights and are into food & wine I would certainly try to book a table at one of those. I recall that the best places may be a short drive out of the city so a car or ride share may be your best option.

We did have a car for 4 days in northern Spain from/to Zaragoza and driving was quite easy. Traffic into San Sebastian was heavy and we had to park in a garage in the middle of town to meet up with the tour, but navigation was easy.

If you have a car and one day free, consider driving to Logrono or a small town near there. That's in the Rioja region - plenty of good wine tasting locations. Logrono also has a compact walkable city center that features plenty of tapas bars and pintxos - much like what you'll see in San Sebastain.

Great story - thanks for sharing the link.

I met him at the Zurich when he was still caddying for Bubba. I was working as a Shotlink volunteer and I had a chance to speak briefly with him. Very down to earth guy - I'm often amazed at how he lasted so long with Bubba.
Guess he had tons of patience.

Is Noem's husband wearing a Bro or a Manzeer???
Frank Family - should be able to find it at Total Wine.

So if Dirt Cheap was still open she'd stay in Oxford?
