based on what? Deadpool has made over $700mil in the middle of February.....as an R rated movie.
Superhero movie or not it was a good movie. Half the Marvel movies are ok to bland. They wear and tear, then DC comes out with this garbage, best to just shut down the entire premise and start from scratch in 10 years, just like double reboot Spiderman would do... except more like in two years.

We'll go on the third full weekend when the numbers will have essentially been made and it'll either be a success or failure so our dollars won't make any huge impact on WB claiming this is some success.
I'm sure that Warner Bros will be sweating until they see that you've purchased your tickets.
You know, you could buy tickets to My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 and sneak into BvS. THAT'll show them!

Just want to let you know I'm here for you when Snyder touches you in the bad spots.

This may be wishful thinking but I think I'm going to benefit from lowered expectations going into this movie and and enjoy this movie more than I would have with the high expectations that was brought down quite a notch with this thread.
If Snyder really bombs it again, he should be public enemy number one for DC fanboys and movie watchers that demand more than a half assed product that is nothing but disaster porn and CGI vomit.

Hmmm that may be what I do. As much crap as I am talking, I need to see how bad it is for myself, but I sure as hell will not contribute to their box earnings.

Check it out, DC isn't in the clear with this movie, yet here they are crapping out their next movie.

Check it out, that's been covered in other threads.

Hardy fricking har...
Point is, opening weekend take is huge and movies are often times considered DOA with a poor opening. Given what's happening, there's no way this will have legs based on good word of mouth so there will be an impact of how well opening weekend does.
So no...my $30 or whatever will not make or break anything...but if it helps in any way send even the tiniest message then fine by me.

More so than almost anyone I'm interested in your take of this when you see it...because I largely agreed with your take on MoS if I remember correctly. I still mostly like MoS, despite it's flaws...but if BvS ends up being either more of the same or even further in that direction I'd have to think that everyone talking about hoe Snyder simply never got Superman or for that matter the DCU were right all along, and that would really suck.

Wonder what this means for Suicide Squad.

It's in the can. It gets released on schedule. Snyder could skull frick a puppy and Suicide Squad would still get released.

I'm pissed right now, but I've decided I'm going to this movie and I'm going to try to enjoy myself. I'll see it a second time to do an actual critiquing. I may not see Batman and Superman on screen again for a long time, so I'm going to try to have fun. I'm out the door right now.

MoS had a decent premise and story to tell and it was on the right track but it really fricked the execution up and left a ton of things on the table that needed to be cleaned up to make it a more consistent and cogent story.
Regarding MoS, Snyder and Warner bros was like that kid that suddenly remembered he has a paper due tomorrow and he does get it done after an all nighter and six pack of red bull but what he turned in is a rough draft that has a lot of holes in it, with grammar, inconsistency, good bit of word salad and some stuff that has nothing to do with the thesis. But it's still a good rough draft and would be a hell of a paper as with a final draft.
Comic book movies are not just big visual displays, they are also character and story driven. Snyder knows how to make a movie look pretty, he just can't tell a story worth a shite no matter what good idea he may have about it.

I'm now hoping this thing bombs because it seems there is a chance Snyder will not be allowed to ruin Wonder Woman. It seems that WB is gonna move forward with WW regardless, and it would benefit being freed from Snyder's aesthetic. Also, Suicide Squad is in the can, so this will have little bearing on it. They are hoping that will be closer to Deadpool.

Suicide Squad is in the can. Wonder Woman is wrapping production. Justice League is set to go and delaying it would cause them to lose their main actors to scheduling.
Warner hires a new creative person for their DC movies team and that person oversees Snyder on JL 1 and 2. Snyder begins to share more power with the new person.
Once box office is in for Squad and Wonder Woman, the rest of the films are rescheduled depending on sales for those two movies.
Affleck's Batman moves forward with his team in charge.

He's not only producing it, but he's overseeing the entire DCEU. Every film at least has some of his input and design within it. Snyder should be kicked the frick out of DC like right now.
