Awful, Terrible, End of the World Movies

I finally sat down and watched The Core from start to finish. It was pretty f'in stupid and unbelievable. Of course, I loved it. This got me to thinking about all the horribly unbelievable movies that I love and have watched over the years:
The Day After Tomorrow: Guilty pleasure movie of mine where the scientists warn the world about climate change killing us all.
2012: John Cusack's finest work. Another global catastrophe averted due to forward thinking scientists.
Armageddon: Machine guns in space. Is there really anything else to say?
Journey to the Center of the Earth: The Brendan Frasier version. This takes stupidity to another level, but I've watched this a million times probably.
Deep Impact: Possibly the most realistic out of all of them. I wish Tea Leoni had some bigger boobs.
What else yall got?

Edit: I also love Deep Impact.

The Mist
It’s not a very good movie throughout, but the ending is a punch to the gut.

I nominate Geostorm as the worst of the major theatrical releases.

I remember when a buddy highly recommended the Day After Tomorrow as a great movie. I told myself I would be ignoring his movie suggestions from then on. Two things always stuck out to me in that movie.
1. There is a chase scene where the protagonists are trying to outrun cold air.
2. I don't remember the full details, but Dennis Quaid and his crew have to walk from Philadelphia to New York in the worst snow storm in history. It made me look up the distance. It's 94 miles. They walked 94 miles in a blizzard.

2012 sucked arse. Not worth a discussion let alone a rewatch.

It wasn’t too terrible, but Knowing did have Nicholas Gage in it. Some people didn’t care for the strong religious undertones of the aliens being like angels and them taking chosen children to a new planet that looked an awful lot like the Garden of Eden, but the writers did have the balls to actually have the world end in the finale.
Melancholia was an absolutely terrible movie, but they ended the world in that one too.

Wolves invading New York on the boat should top this list.

This is the End.
I had high hopes for that one but just didn't enjoy it all that much.

Having read the story years before, I thought the movie was a GREAT adaptation of a really neat Stephen King work.
Until the end-- which was different from the story.
Of course, Stephen King approves, because the person who came up with the changed gut-punch ending was Frank Darabont, who adapted his Shawshank Redemptionn into a genuine movie classic, and did a good job with King's The Green Mile.
Also, because King has become such a sell-out in his old age, he is okay with anything of his that is made and changed (such as the terrible Hulu adaptation of his 11/22/63)as long as it is bringing in the money.
But that changed ending of The Mist SUCKED.
