Multiverse shite is so retarded.
So so retarded
this killed my interest in all of these movies more than anything else

It seems like the reception fir those movies has improved drastically over the years. But they were bashed pretty hard when they were first released.
Eh, somewhat.
There were underlying issues that hampered it several ways:
1. The casting choice for Wonder Woman - Gal Gadot had the physical aspects down (gorgeous, amazonian in stature); however, her acting hit its limits and it became horribly clear she just wasn't a good actress. The more movies with her, the worse things would have gotten.
2. BvS went out of its way to make Superman kind of an a-hole. Any good will he had after Man of Steel is lost when he straight up abandons people right after an explosion.
3. "Martha" - enough said.
All of these mistakes were made before WB insisted on pushing JL too fast. The movies made money because they were featuring DC's most prolific characters (and a decent Batman movie will make money regardless); all this did is hide the shortcomings of the movie.

I'm betting characters like Strange, Spidey, and Captain Marvel are being saved for Secret Wars
I didn't watch the Marvels, but didn't Captain Marvel sacrifice herself to reignite the star for Hala?
IIRC, the post-credits scene for that is where we see Kelsey Grammar's Beast, so I'd be surprised if Binary doesn't make an appearance.
Ms. Marvel probably shows up in Secret Wars.

From a trailer standpoint that looked pretty good

Gambit looks awesome in that trailer

No Captain Marvel
not surprising. she's pretty much universally loathed as a character (I do expect her in the movie somehow [at least referenced]).

no Dr Strange.
unless they're going to completely retcon the last few years of content, I seem to recall Multiverse of Madness didn't leave him in a spot where he would be available.

I try to keep up with these but I thought Cap was an old man and done?

Multiverse dude, there are no stakes anymore. They can bring back whoever they want whenever they want

They could completely forget Captain Marvel existed and not lose a step in continuity.

The plot of BvS was just a mess…the main event fight was good up until Martha though
Just didn’t need to throw in doomsday…the marketing also panicked at the end and trainers revealed they’re going to team up by the end anyway, removing most of the tension. Even though most knew it was going to end that way, knowing going in how and why they were going to unite was dumb.
The movie should have printed money

I think the Russo’s will make a good, entertaining movie and I think the trailer looks cool. But man, there is so much stuff going on now with multiverse storylines and what not, I always feel like I’m missing something or don’t understand exactly what’s going on. Also a lot of characters I couldn’t care less about, like the Shang-Chi guy like others have mentioned.

Why did they decide to release the same day as Dune3? And they won't have any IMAX showings? Seems dumb. Making up a fake "Infinity Vision" format seems kinda deceptive.

Apparently infinity vision is a real thing

according to google:
quote:
Cinematic Standard (Disney's Infinity Vision)
In the entertainment industry, Infinity Vision is a certification program introduced by the Walt Disney Company for Premium Large Format (PLF) movie theaters.
Meaning: It is a stamp of approval that indicates a theater has met rigorous technical criteria designed to deliver an optimal blockbuster viewing experience.
Requirements: To be certified, theaters must have massive screens (generally 50 feet or wider), laser projection technology for enhanced brightness, and premium immersive audio formats like Dolby Atmos.
Purpose: Disney created the certification to unify presentation standards across different theater chains and provide a competitive, non-proprietary alternative to IMAX.

It is real, but is it really anything different like the guy in the video above explains?
It says it is a certification for larger format theaters where you are guaranteed bright images and outstanding sound.
Per their website: "INFINITY VISION is a certification that tells you the theater meets these additional high standards. Think of it as a seal of quality on top of a brand you already know and love."
That all sounds like pure marketing bullshite. Projectors, seats, screens, sound systems are all the same, no new technology, just a "certification".
Wow!
ETA: Looks like shite break up above me beat me to it.

All of the spoilers have been pretty cringe, and I don't disagree with the multi-verse stuff bringing certain things down a notch...
But it's a good trailer, it's a good setup. Not saying it will be great, but people have to realize the scale of ridiculousness is sort of the point. Superhero movies were always going to go this direction. You either enjoy the ride or don't honestly. Marvel isn't alone in bringing back superheroes in a variety of ridiculous ways, it's just the way it is.
