When I was a young-un reading comics in the late 80's-mid 90's all I ever wanted was to see comics come to life on film and look legit. Well luckily for me I got to see the evolution of the genre in real time as a kid and into adulthood.
Are they all the best things ever put on film? No.
Do I question some of the decision making from those in charge? Absolutely.
Do I care? Nah.
It's fun for me to go with my kids and watch them experience something I only ever dreamed of at their age. I hope I don't ever stop having fun and realizing shite ain't that serious.

I was a huge comic book dork in that era. Would've given almost anything to have the live action movies, animated shows, and toys that are widely available now.
It's important to remember that these movies (and associated toys) aren't made exclusively for nerds our age who never got out of the collecting habit; it's for kids today.

I think that’s where Doom comes in to the picture. The multiverse has been chaos, just a bunch of heroes individually messing with time and the order of things while constantly changing universes. There’s been no “team” since the snap and Doom seized the opportunity behind the scenes to rise to power. I just hope they show this to build his character up. I have a feeling it will overlap with Tony stark and a variant.

Right. That's where the kryptonite comes in
You do agree that Superman can kill Batman without getting close to him, correct?

Or a red sun.
So Batman can make a red sun? Interesting.

Well sure. Superman's own personal limitations definitely are part of the equation.

Simulating a red sun has been done a few times in the comics, yes.

So are they saving the big dogs for Secret Wars or something?
Because besides Thor, this roster is dog shite and it insinuates to me that they are going to get their asses dog walked without a magic/mystic arts user like Strange or Wanda.

quote:Hilarious that they're following Stan's concept from the early 60s. Stan Lee decided that the Avengers comic should be used to showcase characters that didn't have their own books, so he got rid of Hulk, Iron Man, and Thor, and changed the team to Captain America, Hawkeye, Scarlet Witch, and Quicksilver (back when Quicksilver was just "fast" and Scarlet Witch's ability was her "Hex Power" that made people have bad luck.)
