The Thor vs. Doom clip where Doom stops his attack with a finger likely happens early on.
It mirrors when Thor did the same move to Thanos and broke through the gauntlet and Stormbreaker was lodged in Thanos’ chest.
This is the parallel Thor is likely using to compare Doom to previous opponents.

I know we're on page 8, but what are the recent "must see" movies for the buildup here? I figure the newer Fantastic 4, need to see that. Haven't seen nearly everything since End Game. Did watch the Loki series.

With Infinity War and Endgame almost being perfection- and the way the saga ended it almost seems cheap to go and dig up those bones. It lessens the ending IMO.
This will have to be a 10/10 for me bc if not Marvel is just throwing ish against the wall praying it sticks…. Which is what they have been doing the last 7 years.

Ahhhhh….i get it. The ending was perfect though. I don’t like the way they treated Hulk or Thor amongst other knit picky things….

To be totally honest you could do a YouTube recap of what has happened during this phase and save yourself a lot of time. There are more misses than hits in this phase so the binge watch is probably not going to be enjoyable. I would say the core projects you would need to watch would be:
Loki - even if it’s a rewatch it’s a good primer.
Fantastic Four - obviously because of Doom and their importance going forward
Dr. Strange 2 - concept of the multiverse and incursions are explained
Deadpool 3 - not as important but you see the TVA in action and it’s a nice homage to the Fox universe since they’re getting one last hurrah
Thunderbolts - basically just to get a feel for Earth and trying to replace the Avengers after Endgame.
Everything else can be done with recap vids or just read a summary. Also Endgame is returning to theaters soon and it’s going to include new scenes and a new end credit scene to help connect the viewer to Doomsday.

If I had to guess Doom is a result of Cap going back in time and living his life, starting a chain reaction through the multiverse and then you throw in everything we know about the Loki series, Spidey and Strange messing with the multiverse, etc. and now incursions are happening and Doom is going to take advantage.
