Bit of Andor trivia. Lonni (the red haired ISB Agent who is a spy for the rebels) is named Lonni Jung. The Imperial agent implanted with Bail Organa's team to take Mon Mothma from Coruscant was referred to as "Jung's agent." Thus Lonni is the one who tipped off Luthen that Bail's team was compromised and allowed for the successful rescue of Mon Mothma.

Lonnie indicated his request for added security measures was for an increase in supply shipments to Scarif. But if he knew about the Death Star, he would have told Luthen.
Scariff was only where the Death Star plans were archived. The construction was around Geonosis. I don't think the supply shipments were indicative of anything Death Star related.
ETA: Now I'm reading, it was started around Geonosis but finished orbitting Scariff.

I’ve said for years that Jedi are the worst part about Star Wars.
Not the concept. But Lucas screwed them up so badly in the prequels that it’s not really possible to write them as interesting characters.
I say that as a person who’s favorite fictional hero of all time is Luke Skywalker.

Finally caught up.
Amazing set of episodes. To from an all out action/war movie in episode 8 to political spy thriller in 9. As someone else said, years beating and adrenaline rushing during those two
I loved that Cyril grew some balls when he realized he had been lied to and used as a pawn. I kinda hoped he would switch sides and totally redeem himself. But I knew as soon as he laid a hand on Dedra he was toast. I was somewhat expecting her to pull out a blaster and kill her m herself.
It's been a long time since I watched Rogue One. Is Bail Organa still in the Senate at that time? When we meet Leia aboard Tantive IV, she is a senator. I know each system has two, so would father and daughter serve together or does Bail resign and Leia take his seat?
Some of the visual and audio effects were just amazing. The transport escorted by X-Wings coming into Yavin at the start of episode 7 was so well done. Same with the TIEs flying over the protest in the plaza... even though you only saw them a few times the repeated screaming of the flyovers helped dial up the tension in that setting.

All I know is he's on Yavin at the beginning of Rogue One, so my assumption is he already fled like Mon did.

I thought the way the writers handled Dedra in that scene was fantastic. They’ve been building her up as this hardened ISB machine who wears the pants in that relationship. They could have made her pull some sort of judo move out on him when he choked her, and it would have been somewhat believable. But instead they allowed her to be vulnerable in that moment.
As a result of that choice, we see two things:
1. We see that Dedra is still human. Cracks are forming in the facade and she is pretty clearly struggling internally with her role on Ghorman, even if she says otherwise.
2. We see that Syril has reached his breaking point. So when he goes after Cassian shortly thereafter, he’s basically operating on pure rage.
These little choices have a big impact on character development. That’s one of the many things Andor does exceptionally well.

Yeah, doesn't Chirrut Îmwe use some force elements/mysticism in Rogue One?
Posted on 5/8/25 at 1:38 pm to BottomlandBrew
I was talking about this stupidity

Yeah that's the only force usage we saw. It's very minimal though and force healing is canon (disney since the clone wars show, EU/Legends since 1978). It didn't take me out of the universe. It just showed how little the average person interacted with the force.

It was silly. I don't have a problem with it, but it was just silly, and Cassian handled it like i would have just ignoring it.
I do think it's important for this show to start showing some belief in the force though, especially on Yavin. You're going to hear people very soon at that base tell others "May the force be with you", so you might as well start introducing some elements of it now.

That's a great point. In The Force Awakens, it was at least plausible for the force and jedi to be a myth at that point. But in Andor S2, Arc3 it's all of 17 years or so after Order 66. Cassian would have been a kid while Jedi knights and masters were war heroes. It's not THAT far removed from being mainstream.

The force stuff was absolutely fantastic. It seemingly confirmed a theory that's been in Star Wars for as long as I can remember and confirms that even though he can't use the force and/or doesn't have a lightsaber he's still a God like figure.

Ezra and Kanan were active Jedi in the Rebellion so there is a good chance he would have met them in person.

I think it was a well done scene. Didn't over do it and you saw both sides of how people felt about it.

Someone brought this up as a callback to S1

Glad somebody said it. I'm sure most people not in the remote reaches of the universe have heard of "The Force". But most probably have never seen someone actually use it in person. In fact its more likely they would see some traveling amusement act pretend (or not pretend, how would they know) to use the force for parlor tricks and games.

exactly. just like how Han handled Luke/Obi-Wan when they talked about the force.
