1883 was really good. Landman is good so far. I gave up on Yellowstone. I think sheridan can do one good season, it's keeping it going where he struggles hard.

When we start to get whatever the oilfield equivalent of Horse Sliding and Horse Turning is... I'm out.

Dont get me wrong, I really liked 1923, but it loses a ton of weight as to what sacrifices Spencer goes thru at this point. Every decision will be met with, "You really didnt need to do that. It might have been better had the foreigner taken the ranch"

If Yellowstone was set in Kansas it would have been HORRIFIC

The scenery brought me in and kept me watching

Because it's over the top, that's why people watch. I thought that was common knowledge.

I gave up on Yellowstone a while ago.

I finished the first season of Lioness and I really liked it. I started season 2 and then got annoyed when shirtless Taylor Sheridan shows up all of a sudden. He loves himself a little too much.

Haven’t tried watching landman because I’m married to a guy in the industry and, if we watch this show together, his mansplaining will be completely out of control (he admitted as much).

And now that Yellowstone is gone, I have no reason to watch 1883, 1923, 1944 or the Rip rip-off. It seems pretty futile. Whats the point?

I don’t get that take. I’m Yellowstone-proximitied enough to know what the premise is and I’m very interested in how they traverse the Great Depression
/WWII to arrive as the titan they are today. At the beginning of the series I thought they were a bunch of assholes but then when Dalton is introduced you realize there are greater evils… which is what I think some of Yellowstone lore.

His shows are all about Americana. The visuals are good and not as dark and depressing as a lot of stuff out there.

I have a theory he just watched Legends of the Fall and said “let’s do that”

His shows never go anywhere. Even when they're coming to an end, it's always about setting up the next thing with no payoff. It's just moving scenery, accents, and the occasional gunfight. Somewhere in Yellowstone season 3-4 he lost his ability to tell a story

1923 was pretty good. 1883 was good, but the daughter fake accent was waaay over the top. Her mom not freaking out about her hooking up with a cowboy wasn’t very believable, nor her father being okay with her marrying an Indian. I liked Sam Elliott, Tim McGraw, and LaMonica Garrett though.

I agree, and THAT part I like….his capturing of the Americana vibe may be his biggest attribute.

Dalton bought up all the ranches around Yellowstone in 1923 so I'm assuming something happens there that gives the Dutton's control of the entire valley.

He's amazing at character development, tone, setting, storyline, etc. He should be a filmmaker. Sicario is amazing. He needs to stick to 2-3 hour formats.

never watched yellowstone watched a little 1883 until i found that they could've easily taken a train to montana in 1883 thus avoiding the hardships endured on the trail plus i don't need to see faith hill getting old it's depressing, watched all of 1923 liked it and wife and i love landman.

I started Tulsa King this week and have thoroughly enjoyed so far. Hoping season 2 is as good as season 1.

The only reason Land Man doesn't suck yet is because of BBT. Ali Larter's character is hotter than a $2 pistol but her and the daughter are so annoying and cringey.

Weren't they initially going to Oregon?

Either way, taking the train to Fort Worth if you are going to the PNW was dumb as obviously the transcontinental railroad was completed 14 years earlier. Take the train to Salt Lake City if Oregon was the destination.
