The underlying point that needs to be made is that there is no room for politics in late night TV, or any TV for that matter.
Unless you can just blast whomever is in charge, regardless of party affiliation.
But, since morality left Hollywood decades ago, it's been taken over by the Godless left , and they just couldn't forever play in a bi partisan way.
That ended with Johnny Carson, maybe some early on David Letterman

but you cannot at least acknowledge that it’s possible that he meant that he didn’t like that maga folks were using the tragedy as a means to attack the opposition?

“MAGA” has every right to use this tragedy as it means to attack the opposition. And so does everyone else. Because the opposition is violently attacking them. Attacking us.

This isn’t hyperbole or some philosophical debate to ponder over at a coffee shop. That phase has long passed.

He was suspended. For spreading false information. Fomenting hatred and mocking a sitting president, who also was shot at with damn near the same fate. Without showing a bit of grace or civility.

Fokk him. And everyone supporting him or cheered for Charlie’s murder.

America is done with this.

I never implied that they don’t have that right. I am not defending Kimmel’s statement, no matter how you interpret it.

He’s pretty much refused to address it. Granted Jimmy hasn’t directly betrayed Adam either and I think Adam recently said his daughter was an intern for Jimmy.

He said on Michael Malice's podcast recently that they don't talk politics and that during the fires in Jaunary, that Kimmel contacted him and offered shelter if he needed it. No matter how much I disagree with him, there is humanity there. Even though I wholeheartedly disagreed with his conclusion, when I heard him talking about his son's health issues and pivoted to a 'tarded view on healthcare affordability, I saw some glimmers of a non-evil person.

I think Kimmel is an idiot politically and hasn't been funny in a decade, but obviously a human being. His comments regarding this were retarded and factually incorrect, I find him to be a schill and bought and paid for by the left, but I do not think he is a soulless ghoul.

This seems pretty simple to me.

Late night talk shows were supposed to be funny celebrity based shows. They never were intended to be political arenas. Don’t turn my late night show into MSNBC.

Jimmy couldn’t help himself. He wanted to be Rachael Maddow but that’s not the intent. The ratings reflect this shift.

Seeya!

People can say all the bad things about him, but Leno was the last one that punched up/down and left/right evenly.

Ferguson didn't get into it, but those are the last two i respected.

i would have put Conan in that camp but his third show lost that.

Learn words. It might help

as anything
quote:

used to add emphasis to an adjective or adverb:

other than
quote:

except for / besides

translation: Maga was desperately trying to characterize this kid emphatically, except for being one of them

The sentence itself defines what he accused MAGA of doing -- BESIDES admitting he was one of them

Plus, the use of the word "and" immediately after that sentence doesnt change Kimmels accusation of MAGA. Its just an addendum. Saying something is red and blue doesnt negate its blueness, or bread and butter doesnt mean the bread is really butter. He accused MAGA of denying the kid was a white, gun-owning, male and trying to make political points from that denial

The hypocrisy and lack of self awareness is unbelievable. Zero human level intelligence, you’re more like an Orc from Tolkien.

Honestly forget the lying part, Jimmy on Wednesday said that we should stop demonizing one another and come together as a nation… then on Monday he then completely blames MAGA for the shooting and demonizes them.

He couldn’t even last a week without publicly calling anyone who disagrees with him subhuman vermin. That’s all we need for this evil piece of shite to be fired. I wonder how Adam is going to defend him with that in mind.

Jay Leno seemed pretty politically neutral.

Fallon tried to be politically neutral but got attacked for it after having some fun with Trump in 2016.

I think the networks had already tried to talk to these shows. Then the shooting happened and they completely lost their shite. You can’t make programming that completely lands one sided. Entertainment has always been left leaning but was smart enough to keep it minimal.

They’ve completely lost their way. 9 YEARS AGO. Same shite for nine years!! Hell 10 years since Trump became serious contender. Same monologue for 10 years. It was time for a correction. I just hope it’s not replaced with more Reality TV or fricking game shows.
