Nope. The script says that Thunder win it all next season.

I mean if you're going to say they only won last year because Halliburton was out then you have to say they only lost this year because JDub and Mitchell were out. You can't have it both ways.
I did not say this.
OKC was missing the support.
Holmgren was invisible.

I think that's the bigger story with this Thunder loss. They are deep, but as far as scoring, it's a 3 headed monster with SGA, Williams, and Chet, who was a complete non factor with Williams being out as much as he was.
Wemby was completely in his head, and maybe he'd be open to a trade to Milwaukee

They only won game 7 last year due to Halliburton popping his achilles.
Such a lazy take. Game was tied when he went out despite Hali hitting basically everything to start the game. Thunder were never losing that game.
Also: we’re gonna deduct from them due to injury, but then ignore them missing 2 of their 3 most important pieces the majority of this series? Okie dokie.

Has NBA fandom always been so bipolar and weirdly reactionary?
Legit have heard the following here and various other places:
2023 - “Jokic is a problem. He’s bout to dominate this league”
2024 - “Celtics too complete. They’ll go on a run here.l
2025 - “Thunder winning with this young of a core is wild. They’ll dominate for a decade.”
And you will see the exact same thing happen if the Spurs win this year.

Uh yeah it is. They’ve yet to make it out of the West again.
Including a 2nd round exit last year and first round exit this year.
Jokic has been really good, but people predicted that they’d be in Finals every year for awhile. And that no one could compete with them out of the West.

It’s funny because Hali was available for the other games the Thunder won in the Finals. Thunder won that game fair and square. But if you want to go the “Hali was out” route, then we can say the only reason why San Antonio won the West Finals is because OKC was down two key players.
Thunder will draft a big name, makes key offseason moves such as getting Giannis, and be back next season contending for the West.

OKC has big decisions to make with the cap. Those young guys are now very expensive
Could very well be a 1 off title. Spurs will only get better

OU/OKC fans are the kings of “what ifs” and “the refs cost us” and “if ____ wasn’t hurt”
One horse town fans are the worst

WTF? You said the only reason OU beat Lswho in football, basketball, baseball, softball, and gymnamstics was because of the refs lmao.

You shouldn’t talk about San Antonio fans like that. Most of them are good people.

Thought that was a hilarious comment trying to dig at OKC when Spurs are in same camp.

The comment wasn’t talking about the Nuggets. He was coming off back to back MVPs, a Finals MVP and a title. He was already dominating the league

Yeah, this is a good point
I wouldn’t be worried about OKC at all if not for the Chet thing. That’s the kind of performance that can follow you into the offseason and beyond
I don’t think they should make any major moves. They were missing their 2nd best player and lost to a matchup nightmare. shite happens.
That being said they are basketball terrorists who rode an insane whistle and a Hali achilles to one title and I hope they never experience joy again.

It’ll be a one-off if Chet anywhere near the state of Oklahoma
Posted on 5/31/26 at 9:53 am to nicholastiger
I dont think Giannis is the answer. Flips their window from being 7 years to 3.
OKC wins thus series with J dub.
Probably in 5 games.
I could see a smaller move like Dort being released.

New Orleans is basically a one horse town. No one recognizes the Pelicans.
Saints fans still whine about the playoff loss to the Rams in the 2018 NFCCG.
LSU fans whine all the time unless something favors them.
I don’t usually say much on LSU since they own us in big football games but outside of that, if you talk about everything else, the LSU/Saints fans are big on the “what ifs” and “if not for the refs.”
