You have to wonder if OKC's title is going to be a one off

They only won game 7 last year due to Halliburton popping his achilles.

Eventually they're going to make a move. They have an absolute war chest but will consolidating all of that down to a star player cost them?

I wish Hali wouldn’t have gotten hurt. I genuinely think Indiana wins if he doesn’t.

Giannis and Jokic have only 1 ring and never made it back to the Finals again.

Wouldnt be too surprised if that was OKC's only title. Alot of things have to go right, Ajay Mitchell missing this game was huge

I think they need to defer and trade all these picks to the future. They lost tonight, but I think they can keep their rotation and run it back next year without making any big splashes. They’ll be able to still have a great team after Shai retires.

Will have to be some trades
They don’t have enough roster spots for their picks

Denver took them to 7 in the 2nd round

If the far less talented and deep Nuggets shot marginally better than the 9.1% they shot with constant open looks in the first quarter of Game 4 there is no one-off

Maybe it’s just not that great of a team

They won the NBA Finals last season and again finished first in the West and went 7 games in the Western Conference Finals.

The sky isn’t falling. Major moves are not required. Sometimes you just get beat and the solution is just to improve and play better next time.

Outside of San Antonio who can really compete with OKC in the west? Denver needs another piece or two. No serious contenders in Cali. Houston as is is good, not great. Minnesota is too inconsistent.

East you got Boston, New York, Cleveland is fun to watch but not championship material. Need to see another year of Detroit to succeed and not be seen as some one-off.

I could see it but the West will rape Giannis next season.

A Denver team with 4 healthy rotation players.

I think there’s positives that the Thunder can take from this season,

They found out that Ajay Mitchell, Jared McCain, and Jaylin Williams were dependable players.

They will let Dort go in free agency and Cason Wallace will take his role.

As far as improving their team it comes down to dealing Chet for Giannis. Only the Spurs can beat this team. They’ve had their number all year. But nobody else is even close

Tbh they probably win this series in 5 if J Dub is healthy. They still have a billion picks as well. They will win at least 2-3 more rings imo.

Last year it was "they're going to win so many titles"

Now it's, that might have been their only one.

Totally agree.

There are so many idiotic basketball fans, it’s unreal.

He’s great, but he’s got some studs around him.

Harper looks like a perennial all star level player.

Fox/Champignie/Casteel are all very good players.

They are built for a run of championships over the next 5 to 7 years.

I mean if you're going to say they only won last year because Halliburton was out then you have to say they only lost this year because JDub and Mitchell were out. You can't have it both ways.
