I think this is the team other than Alex and Rose

France, Germany, England, Brazil, South Korea, and Japan all take it pretty serious

Sweden and Norway also tend to be decent. USA is just playing scrub group teams. Real tournament begins after group play

Serious question, is the USA the only country that actually supports and cares about women's international soccer?

Other countries do care, but the USA got a head start on pumping in resources and infrastructure at the international level. The English FA even banned women's soccer from WWI until the 70s, and didn't officially govern the sport until the 90s.

The current Ballon d'or winner from Norway is actually sitting out the WC in protest for how she perceives the women's team is handled by the Norwegian FA. She remarked in an interview that emphasis for the sport in Europe is placed at club over country, while the USA's priorities have always been for the international team first.

France vs USA in the quarters is the real start of this tournament.

Attempted to watch this. Within 5 minutes one lady dribbled the ball striaght out of bounds and another shot the ball 20 yards over the goal. I don’t see how anyone can get excited to watch women’s soccer

You just described an average sequence of play in the EPL, too

But women’s soccer is an inferior product of soccer. Almost like the WNBA compared to the NBA.

A top international women's game is almost equivalent to watching Jesuit vs St. Paul's highschool match.

Jesuit and SPS would absolutely murder the USA women

Agreed.

I just meant in terms of overall entertainment/watch-ability.

I'm sure people in Europe feel the same way about baseball and American football with all of the stoppages in play and commercial breaks.

As somebody who watches soccer, football, and basketball; I will say soccer is nice in the fact that I know it will only last for 2hrs, instead of possibly going on for 5 hours for a commercial after every timeout, change of possession, etc.

I'm waiting for when the bigger sports go to ingame commercials like you see with tennis and golf.

Oh yeah, agreed there. Id say Jesuit/SPS would be more interesting to watch. Going to be a lot more physical and borderline dirty play.
