Attempt to spice up a terrible mind-numbingly boring spectator sport

Nothing about the action yesterday was terrible or mind numbing. There was plenty of action happening.

If you’re one of those people who can’t sit still for more than 5 minutes and enjoy something, then no, you won’t like it. Do you really need someone yelling “MASHED POTATO!” To hold your attention?

It’s very rarely during the swing. It’s after they strike the ball.

I never watch golf, but I just spent a couple minutes watching Tiger Woods highlights from yesterday. Every time he took a shot, people would shout stuff like this. For those of you who are into golf, how annoying is this for other fans who are there watching?

It's very annoying and I don't understand why anyone feels the need to do it.

The camera doesn't pan over to you. Nobody knows it's you. There are zero reasons to do it.

Probably some of the most asinine crap to hear at a sporting event.

Idiots who yell "Get in the hole" on a par 4, 420 yard hole are just too stupid to be breathing. And to make it worse, they try to time it to where they are yelling just as the player strikes the ball so they can be the first to do so.

A couple weeks ago someone yelled out some crap just before Tiger Woods actually hit the ball as he was on his downswing and he was none too happy about it, and rightfully so.
