Huh?
A three time All American?
If you were going to go Pete Carroll USC it was Whitney Lewis.

Freddie Rouse was a 5 star WR, who, as rivals and those websites starting getting bigger was hyped big time as next great WR.

who remembers Noel Devine? his high school tapes had people marking the f out. He was more hyped than Fournette imo.

Clausen was awesome his last year of college. ND’s issue in 2008 - 2009 was on the other side of the ball.

Ryan Perrilloux was one of the most sought out recruits at the time.

Jimmy Clausen?
Remember when the insufferable Mel Kiper said “If Jimmy Clausen is not a successful quarterback in the NFL, I’m done. That’s it. I’m out.”
Promises not kept.

How soon we've forgotten our dear Tathan Martell.
Also Brandon Harris, Arik Gilbert, Kardell Thomas are a few recent big time LSU misses.

Jacob Eason. All I heard for a year was about this 5 star that was gonna get them over the hump and it ended up being a walk on who did it.

That felt like the first era of recruiting tapes with a banger soundtrack being loaded onto YouTube and future college players going viral. Noel Devine & Sam McGuffie with his hurdle, just the way we talked about them, so much glazing.

I’ll throw in Kyle Wright. Was an uber-hyped recruit from California, who could have gone anywhere in America, and never really did much at Miami.
