Worse than not making an attempt, he made a half-hearted effort until he saw he would end up in a dog pile.

Walk off HR. Because even after you know you won, you still make the opposing team watch the victory lap around the bases.

The perfect 9 dart 501 game.

Edited to add this:

I've seen dozens of them over the years since I'm a big fan of professional darts and played in leagues for close to 30 years before I gave that up.

I watch a lot of the PDC tournaments streamed from European countries that involve the top players in the world and it's amazing to see just how accurate those guys are.

I could play 100 years and not approach their level of play.

Not a play. All of those are easy compared to a cowboy riding a top ranked bull for eight seconds under the Las Vegas lights at the NFR! My dad was a pro rodeo clown. These men are in top physical and mental shape!

Hard agree. I'm going to be using the triple option in the new NCAA game when it comes out.

Last second Touchdown to D. Byrd Game over

I went from excitement, to the realization of what just happened and how stupid it was, to excitement that it worked, all within like 5 seconds.

Sums up most of the Miles tenure here.

Yeah, its like the tense feeling of being on defense and not wanting to give up a big play immediately shifts 100% the other direction when you realize your guy has the ball and is running toward the endzone. Incredible.

I remember this as well as any play. D Byrd ran right over to where we were and the place was nuts.

We knew Miles was crazy, but he was our crazy and somehow because of talent it ended up working more times than not because of talent.

That magic faded as time went on.

Buzzer Beater to win the game, not some 3/4 court heave at the end of the 1st quarter.
Hail Mary
Walk Off Homer

and for a play that isn't a game ender, i'd go with a dunk over somebody else that makes the game stop it was so nasty.

Does "three yards and a cloud of dust" count? Wisconsin fan here and there's no better feeling to me than just grinding your opponent to dust with the run game. Two best examples I can think of are the final drive vs Auburn in the '06 Capital One Bowl and against Michigan in the Big House in '10 when we ran the ball on all but like one play in the second half. We also did it against TCU on the final drive in the '11 Rose Bowl but Chryst went goofy on the 2PC to tie and tried a pass that predictably got knocked away

Love forehand winners in tennis. Alpha as frick. Backhand winners can be good too if the guy is a freak (Stanimal).

Well-made bunker shots are fun.

4th Quarter...up by 10 and you get the ball back with 11:00 left at your own 20 yard line.

You want to run the ball to eat up clock. Defense has 8 in the box. And you run the ball off tackle for 8 yards.

Repeat until you score a TD with 3:19 left...BALL GAME!

I love a lopsided Time of Possession.
