What's with the Padres uniforms?

Are they just trying throw in every pastel color imaginable? Is there some reason for this. Looks ridiculous

I associate those colors more with San Antonio or Miami but I guess San Diego has those colors too

Edit to say, may as well have gay sex night at the stadiums in California. All our resident democrats will attend.

It's supposed to represent a Summer sunset over the bay. Pink sky, yellow sun, teal water.
Rest of the country hates them but San Diego its nuts for it. Fans bought in big time for the city connects.

ETA: I bought a Jason Robertson All Star tee when he made the team two years ago. Didn't realize the game was in Miami. Didn't know the tee featured pink trim.
It looked red on Fannatics.
