i never tried, but Curling looks like that might be doable.

Curling, You beat me to it . I could definitely be the " Broom Bro" that sweeps the ice ahead of the stone. There are obscure events that don't require elite athleticism, but I'm not going to dismiss their skills.

I can take any WNBA player 1 v 1

Unless you played college ball, or you're very athletic and fit.

You're going to get your feelings hurt.

My brother’s best friend claims that he scored 75 points without missing a shot in an intramural game.

Mine is true….

I’m late 30s, and would absolutely be a WNBA all star.

That is one of the bigger LOLs. Women are often very close to the top men. When I was shooting in college there were lots of mixed teams. At the time one of the top NCAA teams was Tennesee Tech and the best shooter on the team was a woman.

It was three position small bore and even in standing and kneeling there is very little strength advantage for me. The proper technique moves the weight onto the skeletal structure and away from the muscles.

took every PK for the team in a Premier League season that Id be able to score 5 goals

I was curious so I looked it up. Last year Leicester City led the premier league with 12 penalty kicks. 9 of 20 teams scored less than 5 penalty kicks in the entire season.

In 2019-20, 14 of 20 teams scored less than 5 PK goals on the season.

Teams get and score far fewer PKs than I think you realize. You are basically saying you will outperform roughly half the premier league in terms of scoring PKs.

I’m sticking with a hard under 5 goals for you in the premier league.

I used to think that if I got 500 plate appearances in MLB that I could luck into like 4 hits.

I don't think that one's too crazy. You're allowed to be taking batting practice and improving the whole time right?

I'm picturing an 0 for 200 start to your career and a 4 for 300 finish.

I used to feel good about being a pro bass fisherman until we started what we called the northern swing. I quickly realized that I wasn’t comfortable fishing a river that you can see the bottom in more than 10 foot of water

I tell people I could make a WNBA roster tomorrow if they opened it up to true competition. I'm 6'6", 260 lbs, reasonably fit, terrible at basketball
If you have average coordination and could be reasonably in shape, you'd dominate.

Regarding tennis it's actually not that speculative. There's a Universal Trnnis Rating (UTR) that is extremely accurate. It's on a 16.5 scale. Djokovic is a 16.25 and Serena is s 13.25 FYI. I've seen many boys high school players that are probably as low as 6 or 7 tbh. D1 men's players are in the 11 to 14 range. I believe that the top 20 or so WTA players would beat most D1 men.

Hitting major league pitching has to be the hardest thing to do in sports.
I think I have a better chance of hitting a major league pitcher than a lot of other things in professional sports.

Man City was only awarded 9 penalties and they scored 5 of them, so that’s the margin of error you’re working with
Man City also had the 3rd worst goal rate on penalties in the league (Fulham had 6, scored 3. West Ham had 4, scored 2).

Knew a guy in college who swore playing NHL goalie was the easiest job in sports. "All you gotta do is be huge and stand there."

The idea of a man off the street stopping an Ovechkin shot from the point is utterly laughable.

A separate friend (who played JV HS basketball) thought he could average double digits in the NBA, with the caveat that he was the primary shot taker on the team. He’s a decent athlete but not a good basketball player or shooter, and around 5’10. He said throwing up enough shots, enough would go in. We argued that he would be guarded by the other teams best defender who would be taller, stronger, faster by a lot and wouldn’t be giving him space to throw up enough open shots for 15% or so to go in and get to double digits.
