I don't have the exact numbers - if anybody does, please fill them in for me - but during the 2023 college baseball season, Tommy White had a BA of something like .700 when Dylan Crews was on base. He was in the .200's otherwise.

Norm Van Brocklin setting the single game passing record in the 1950s, when offenses were run dominant.

Anomalies are always interesting stats.

Loyola Marymount in the 1990 NCAA Tournament...

W 111–92
W 149–115
W 62–60
L 101–131

Kudos to Alabama I guess in a losing effort, they managed to flip the script and stop the Blitzkrieg offense.

America won the first America’s Cup but it was called Hundred Guinea Cup on August 20, 1851, by the Royal Yacht Squadron of Great Britain. Once we won we named it America’s Cup.

We defended it 24 times (won) from then until 1983, when Australia won it.

Tiger Woods won 6 USGA championships before he had turned 21.

He has the third most wins in the history of the European Tour despite never being a member.

In the last thirteen games Wisconsin men’s basketball has scored more than 90 points three times.

In the 400 games before that they scored more than 90 points three times.

Nebraska 95: Did not allow a single sack all season (226 pass attempts)

Did not have a single holding penalty all season

Allowed 5 punt returns for a total of 12 yards

Beat four teams that finished in the Top 10 by an average of 31 points Averaged over 7 yards per carry AS A TEAM

1995 Nebraska and its opponents combined to produce a mere two first round draft picks in 1996. 2019 LSU and its opponents produced eighteen first round picks the following spring.

Perhaps a record high and low for national championship teams and their competition.

Jackie Robinson was a four sport athlete at UCLA-football, basketball, baseball and tennis. He led the nation in punt return average and set school records in track.

Interestingly, his worst sport statistically was baseball where he batted .097 in 1940.

Rickey Henderson did this.

1970s - 33
1980s - 848
1990s - 510
2000s - 72

Absolutely incorrect. In addition to Rickey Henderson (who stole bases in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s), you have:

1) Omar Vizquel, who stole bases in the 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s.
2) Tim Raines, who stole bases in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s, and 2000s.

Kudos to Nolan Ryan.
He actually struck out Tony Gwynn more than any other pitcher.

Tony Gwynn played both baseball and basketball at San Diego State, and he still owns several records in basketball for the Aztecs. His 590 career assists are the most in school history and his 221 assists in the 1979-80 season are also a record. In fact, Gwynn owns the top three single-game assist tallies in Aztecs history -- with his 18 dimes against UNLV on Feb. 5, 1980, as the most.

If Tony Gwynn’s 20-year career were split into two careers, 10 seasons apiece, he would rank first and second in Padres history in runs, hits, total bases and doubles.

In 1935, Hank Greenberg had 103 RBIs at the All-Star break and wasn't selected . And his team's manager was the AL All-star manager.

In light of his retirement today… Zack Martin finished his career with more All-Pros (9) than accepted holding calls (7). He also had zero accepted holding calls in pass protection in more than 6,000 career pass pro snaps.
