There are over 300 men’s basketball teams in D1. Meaning at any one time 3,000 men played at a higher level than this man. And he pushes the absolute top women’s players. Think about that. He played basically high level high school ball

These threads are always fun. A good 90% of them are filled with guys who swear they and the guys at the local ymca could beat a wnba team even though they're all unathletic, overweight, and just not good at basketball.

And they are probably telling the truth. That’s the sad part

every couple years an article or espn segment comes out about how womens basketball is awesome and they could beat most men, etc.

it's just not true

Games such as tennis, you can't get by on athleticism
Honestly, tennis is one of the most physical sports. People just don’t think of it as physical because it is non-contact. But you are using speed, upper body and lower body strength on every single shot you hit

The gap is monumental in men’s and women’s tennis

The best women basketball players in the world beating a team of male high school and D2 coaches doesn’t impress me in the least. Even if those are the 99th percentile of men in basketball, all it means is that the 99.999th percentile of women in basketball is better than the 99th percentile of men. Really not anything for feminists to write home about.

These are well above average men’s players. They aren’t the equivalent of a random team of tigerdroppings posters. But these guys are far from as good as NBA players.

Due to the way the bell curve works, the difference between the 99th percentile of men’s basketball players (which is what these guys are) and the 99.999th percentile of basketball players (NBA players) is much bigger than the difference between, say, the 99th and 98th percentile of male players. In fact, I think the difference between the 99.999th and 99 percentiles is bigger than the difference between the 99th and 1st percentiles.
